Martinez a few weeks said that Cleverly was a top talented and was being harshly criticised.

I can see it happening in all honesty.

United should sell RVP and sign him.

No chance Robin moving if van Gaal is the manager.

According to The Guardian Man Utd are about to sign Luke Shaw for £30 million on £100 grand a week.

That would probably be another nail in the coffin of football, if an 18 year old is going to get £100k a week, whats he going to end up getting if he actually turns out good in 6/7/8 years? £400k/£500k a week.

Shaw reminds me of Glen Johnson who was probably the last massively hyped English full-back, think he was about 18 as well when Chelsea signed him and all the same stuff was said. Although similar stuff was said about Micah Richards too.

Think it's far too soon to be spending that amount on him, I would give him another season at Southampton.

When I see stuff like this it makes me glad we will never be part of that circus of a league.

We will have the cigars out when it all goes * up, which it will.

Completely agree with SC. It's manic down there and even for a story like that to be entertained, whether there's any truth in it or not, shows just how * up the finances down there are.

It's a ticking time bomb and the fallout will be spectacular!

We've been hearing for years it'll go * up one day but will it really? There is always going to be sport, and football will always be the number one sport, if Sky Sports or BT ever goes out a business surely someone else will just come along and continue you the money train?

All bubbles eventually burst, and the EPL will be no different. Some bubbles just take longer than others before they pop.

Usually the longer a bubble takes to burst, the greater the pop :86:

So you don't reckon someone else would come along if both Sky and BT went bust?

If it does go bust it'll be a long time from now imo

Is it really a gravy train though ? What Premier League clubs bar Arsenal actually make profits ? The vast majority of them are taking on crippling debts banking on survival in the Premier League.

The Premier League is unsustainable in the long term. The Bundesliga is the model that English football will end up following when the bubble bursts.

Bubble hasn't burst in 25 years though? Wages and transfer fees are getting higher constantly, but England doesn't have the only league where it's happening.
