Antonio Sanz, representative of Javi Martínez; No truth behind Bayern Munich deal, and his player will continue with Athletic.

    He'll get much better deal.

What have United won last season? Losing to Basel and getting pumped by Athletic Bilbao is definitely appealing. Also got knocked out in cups early.

Is current Man. United team really better than what Arsenal now have? Fair enough signing Kagawa has improved the team up front, but midfield remains weak and defence may not be the same with Vidić coming back from injury. They'll score, but they will leak goals as well.

Van Persie wanted to see team strenghtened in order to remain at the club. Is Santi, Podolski and Giroud not enough? They have a great team, if van Persie stayed they'd have much better chance in the league and Europe.

I think playing in already established and familiar system at Arsenal there is more chance of winning things than United where he needs to settle and has burden of improving significantly after a disastrous season.

Disloyal scumbag, it annoys me and I don't even care about Arsenal.

Fair enough i forgot about beckhams career outside football , modelling etc but i was thinking more towards shirt sales etc. The EPL is the most marketed league in the world particularly in asia and north america, man united is the most popular club in the EPL and in asia and North america, Rooney is utds most high profile player and has sold more shirts than any other EPL player in history (Including becks) hence my conclusion. Ronaldinhio and kaka ? nowadays i dont think so.

Got closer to a trophy then Arsenal and as I previously said and you have conveniently ignored, United have won 13 honours since 2004, Arsenal 2. Don't forget the CL in 2008 and finals in 2009 and 2011.

United's team is better than Arsenal and conceded 33 league goals last year without our best defender for the 24 out of the 38 games, 16 less than Arsenal

I wouldn't call it a disastrous season, if it wasn't for a final minute goal in the final game, United would be champions. It's not like City won by 10-15 points. Arsenal have strengthened but I can guarantee that United will finish above them this year

The PL didnt have the global appeal it does now when DB was at United, but even that aside, Beckham 'out markets' Rooney in every category. Rooney will not have a career after football. Not a chance.

He won't have to with all the marketing deals and wages he has right now :86:

Nah but seriously, I agree with you, a few years ago Beckham could advertise any product and it would sell big all over the world and I can't see Rooney as a pundit or coach in 15 years time

Never thought RVP would go to another EPL team. Always thought he would go to Bayern, Juventus or Real Madrid if he ever left.

Did you expect a different reaction from United fans when the top scorer and POTY from last season just signed?

He'll probably be bankrupt by the time he's 50. He comes across as a * moron, once he's done with football no one will give a * about him, he'll get divorced (half his money gone) and he'll waste the rest on women, drink and horses.

    A guess but I wouldn't be surprised.

I can see why he moved but united is obviously going to cause upset. It wasn't for money if that was the case he would be a city.

I bet you are, sad * day round here. Song and RVP, that's our assist and goal threat from last season gone. Fergie not signing any CM though??? Great attacking 4 or whatever but your CM positions aren't as stocked as else where

Haha there's nothing wrong with that.
It's when people go round talking about United like the supreme club and accusing every single City signing of 'going after the money' it gets hard to take.

Not to mention the fact that Man United spend scandalous sums of money on players, but seem to overlook that, because of two big spending summers for Man City.

Also, don't forget that it takes more than money to win a 38 game season. City showed well and truly that they are the best team in England this year, no matter how hard that might be for you guys to swallow. :50:

Chief executive David Gill said last week that we're still looking to bring in a few players so there still could be more signings but I'm not holding my breath with regards to signing a centre mid
