Kerber is the class act/nailed on to win this tournament and unsurprisingly was coasting against this Falconi girl, then her opponent finds another gear and breaks back. Interesting match.

    Glad Aggie got through :D

The thing with Aggie is she's a great tennis player. SHe's not a power house but tenacious and plays and selects her shots well. Just look at her final appearance in 2012. Aggie is my favourite female tennis player. Polish and hard as nails :boxing::36:

This is one of the reasons I hate the Williams sisters. They are so * boring and annoying. All power, no tennis. Yet they win everything, which also makes it boring. I had enough of that with Sampras.

Speaking of the hating on power tennis which me and @Mr. Fawlty so obviously share , can the Womens draw make sure we have an actual TENNIS final this year? We haven't had one probably due to the Williams Sisters/evolution of the women's game, since what? About 2006 when Justine Henin (my favourite womens player EVER...sublime backhand) vs Mauresmo. The quality of the shots, movement and serving and volleying in this 2006 final has not been seen since.

I also was * devvoed that day, because Justine Jenin lost her 2nd Wimbledon Final. Henin unfortunately was another in a long list of players such as Ivan Lendl/Hana Mandikova who won absolutely * everything/3 out of the 4 majors multiple times, bar losing multiple Wimbledon finals. Henin like Lendl I THINK had also even won junior Wimbledon. Which oddly, is usually a bit of a curse, unless you where Pat Cash who ironically beat Lendl in 1987. But Henin had the most beautiful backhand I've EVER seen and I cant think of a player with such a revered backhand in todays game?

Its about time we have the smaller, cleverer plays winning Wimbledon again. Perhaps with the exception of Petra Kvitova who nearly lost her life, least of all her hand with a nutter breaking into her home earlier this year.

Didn't help her as Konta recovered and won the first set tie break.

Hopefully the lovely Aggie beats McHale later :36:
