    This is what I love about the French Open - the service doesn't guarantee you points as it usually does on other surfaces.

    Clay is such a difficult and tactical surface to play on - must be murder.

    Agreed. We all grew up with Wimbledon being the only major on cooncil telly so we all probably grew up with a slight preference for watching grass court tennis. I have found the more tennis I watch the more I prefer clay court tennis though, the better all round players rise to the top on clay.
