Strong performance by Garbine Muguruza today. The first set of her match was the best set of tennis I've seen in the women's event this year. She has a great chance of winning the tournament if she can maintain that level.

This is the one tournament it's possible Nole will slip up, I think the other 3 Slams he has in the bag almost. I mean it would take a superhuman effort to beat him in them.

He's been beat on clay in two masters this year, once by Andy in Rome so there is hope.

Good to hear that Mugaraza is playing well, women's tennis deserves some kind of golden era because the standard hasn't been so great recently. I don't know if it every was of a very high standard but it definitely used to be more popular. I hope she wins it.

It is a shame. Had he not picked up the injuries, he'd easily have won 20 Slams.

Punishing conditions today. I can't remember a Grand Slam tournament being wrecked by the weather as much as this French Open has been. Feels like there's been rain almost every day.

I actually thought Novak was in a bit of bother for a spell today. The conditions were perfect for a player like Bautista-Agut who is just very solid and gives little away. It looks as though the best in the business has the upper hand now though.

Good conditions for making money though. I had a wee tickle on Tsvetana Pironkova at 11/1 when she was a set and 2-3 down against Agnieszka Radwanska. Radwanska has no shot in those conditions, she just doesn't have the power to get the ball through the court. If I'd been a few seconds earlier I'd have got 16/1 but I'll take what I got. An easy £80.

Gorgeous backhand Gasquet has. I love seeing players hit the one handed backhand like that, it's a classic shot. Gasquet, Wawrinka and Federer are the best in the business at it.

Murray romping this third set. Just shows you the level of intensity needed to beat guys like Djokovic or Murray. Lower ranked players can play great for a set or maybe even two sets but it's really, really hard to maintain that level of intensity. As soon a guy like Gasquet drops his intensity level, Murray steamrolls him. There's a reason Djokovic and Murray are where they are.

Gasquet is nice to watch but Murray is simply better, Gasquet didn't even think he could beat him today himself.

Semi will be massive (easy tiger), Murray is under dog.

That shall be some contest indeed. I'm afraid I think Wawrinka will win and it'll be a repeat final.

The bookies have Murray as the favourite and I think that's probably right. His form coming into Roland Garros was better than the form Stan had been showing. I'm hopeful Stan can get the job done though. Hopefully the conditions will be heavy on Friday.

I'm pretty impressed with how Sam Stosur is playing here. Muguruza is going to have her hands full with her in the next round. Stosur is 10/1 to win the tournament even now and I'm going to have a nibble on that. She's well capable of beating Muguruza and Serena on clay.
