For me, big Dan has been an absolute stalwart at the back and his experience has been vital in us having one of the best defensive records in Britain. Sorely missed him in the CIS cup final, and I think it showed.

 

Kayal!! 100% i think he'd be in the running for P.O.T.Y uf he never git injured. Future celtic captain. Kinda suprised also hooper has only 10votes lol

 

it was between wilson, izzy, kayal and hooper for me.

went for wilson in the end as a think the wee man has endured a torrid time in the last few years and hes just slotted back into the team without a fuss and done a absolutely magic job. just hope he stays injury free and keeps that right back slot for his own for few years to come

 

Izzy for me, for years we have been crying out for a decent left back.

Beram Kayal for me. Ok he's been out for quite a large chunk of the season, but our upturn since he came back, coupled with his passion and commitment for the team makes him my player of the year. He has epitomised the 'Lennon revolution' for me.

Izzy, Ledley, Hooper, Wilson and even Stokes other close ones for me.

Kayal, I know he missed a lot of games but he has been superb in the midfield. Absolute trojan!

Not afraid to do the dirty work and no bad with the ball at his feet either. Think he has been a massive signing!

 

Quite surprised with the number of votes for Ledley. I remember reading a thread on here along the lines of ''Joe Ledley has done nothing''. I think hes been absolutley brillant this season, think we might even struggle without him in the title run in Can't wait to see even more of him next season as well, seems to really enjoy playing for the Hoops

Was talking to my mates today who support Liverpool and Man Utd. Never really have a good word to say about Celtic but all said they would take Izzy and Kayal in a heartbeat. Both have been outstanding, definetly the best signings along with Hooper who has been majorly important for us this season. I think some people have quite short memorys and tend to forget the last minute goals he scored against Dundee Utd and St.Mirren. Kayal is the engine in midfield, no doubt about it. The guy gives 110% every game and like he says, 'he plays to please the fans'. Izzy has been incredible, think he will win POTS, nothing short of what he deserves. Would be here all day saying how much he has impressed me.

Mark Wilson, a guy who always had the potential but i don't think we ever seen the best of him until this season. Lenny has definetly brought the best out in him, almost like a new signing. He is Celtic to the core, and like Kayal he gives everything. Think hes class.

Izzy, Izzy and some more Izzy. Most consistent, joy to watch, strong defensively as well as going forward, cost pittance. What more could you ask for?

 

Beram Kayal.

Emilio Izaguirre has played more matches than Kayal and has been consistently excellent but, for me, it has been the form of Beram Kayal since New Year that has been the catalyst for us to be in the position we are now. Kayal has become the heartbeat of our midfield and the most important player in the team imo. It's harsh on Izaguirre to not give him my vote but I have voted for Beram Kayal.

 

Izzy for me; for a player so cheaply acquired and how lets be honest none of us had a clue about, has been an absolute sensation, a left back who can attack, is quick, defend and controls the ball with the best of them; my POTY followed closely big Kayal!

hopefully he doesn't suffer the same fate of Lee Naylor after his first season

 

I must say, i was close to picking kayal, because he has more influence on the game, but that's because he's in the middle of the park, whereas izzy's a defender.

I gave it to izaguirre because he's played more games and has been consistently excellent, as you said marky.

 

Kayal.

I think he is our best player and I get more imprest with him every time I see him. Izzy would be second.

what he says very balanced view and as good as Izzy has been, we miss Kayal's influence more. just wish Samaras could be more consistent. the only Lenny decision that i don't understand is the new contract for Samaras.
