Tried to keep it simple and broad, option 2 is a summation of the most widely used criticisms I've read recently.
I could have thought added a middle ground option but I thought I'd keep it simple, lol I was tired too. :smiley-laughing002:
It encapsulates the two sides of the argument well enough although it could be a bit more detailed.

Never seen the place like this before, almost in meltdown. I'm generally confident we'll get it all sorted and keep improving. Not going to stress about stuff like losing to the sheep, it had to happen at some point, probably best it happened recently, the team really have a lot to prove now, etc.
I'd be very surprised if we didn't put in a good performace against Ajax and the rest of the games from now on. Team probably needed a kick up the * to put things in perspective not only in Europe but domestically now. There's nowhere to hide for them, the give everything or they should be subbed, no matter who it is.
I don't think Ronnies perfect either, I just think he's the right guy for the job. There's a few criticisms I have, like formation, selection and his use of subs. But he said himself he's learning all the time, like the players. I hope has has. :celt_2:

I'd give him till the end of the Europa League campaign then take it from there.

If by November/December time we're still trailing Aberdeen and more importantly imo our performances haven't picked up then I'd sack him.

What if we have picked up the points but our performances haven't improved by then?

So that means he's an Alex Ferguson? Genuinely don't understand your Alex Ferguson point :smiley-laughing002:

Ferguson had won European trophies with Aberdeen at that point, Deila hasn't got that type of pedigree. It's * insane to compare him with SAF.

Well the spfl in it's current state he should be winning those things, hardly setting the world alight.

The real examinations were the cl qualifiers, hammered by legia, reinstated and beat by Maribor. This year we were undone by the mighty malmo, plus we've conceded half the goals we conceded in the whole of the last league campaign.

By that reckoning yea chief I think we're going backwards.

The content of your post along with your use of punctuation and spelling, makes me conclude that you are at it.

He's not comparing him to Ferguson. He's saying that it might not be fair to form a final opinion on Deila's worth based on 15 months of work, just as it would have been a mistake to let Ferguson go in his third season. He's using the Ferguson example to make the point that it's too early to know whether Deila will be the man to lead Celtic or not.

Also, a few people have said that Deila hasn't performed with a squad that made the Champions League knockouts two years before he got there. I would think it goes without saying, but there were major differences between the 2012-13 squad and the one Ronny took over (Hooper, Samaras, Ledley, Wanyama, Wilson, etc.). Folks can criticize Deila's performance, but those comparisons are a bit unfair.

    * me, ronny deila isn't ferguson, not all managers find they're feet and suddenly blossom into a tactical genius.

He's had time and opportunities, yes he's won the league and a cup but so he * should when he has no rivals, his real examinations came in the cl qualifiers and he's * it 3 times in 2 years lol

Ok question for ya, has Ronny done better than Lennon and Strachan did in their first seasons ?

Again, no one is saying he's Ferguson. We're saying that we don't know how good he can be after 15 months. And his "real examination" came when we lost to Legia and Maribor 2 months after he had taken the job? That might be your opinion, but I don't want to judge a guy after 60 days. I loved Lennon, but I doubt he would have breezed through those ties. The Malmo loss was tough to swallow, but they were a decent side who got a result. It happens; ask Ajax, Salzburg, APOEL, Basel, etc. We dominated that first game against Malmo, played some attractive football, and gave up two goals against the run of play. It's disappointing for sure, but I don't think it means that Deila is a chump.

It's not just about who done better in they're first seasons, would wgs or Lennon won more if they managed here without the Huns?

They aren't the sole benchmark Ffs.

They also managed to improve after they're first season but again we've been found wanting at the cl playoff stage, 2 years running.

    You satisfied with that answer?

    Of course he has.

The situations aren't really comparable though.

Made a post that disapeared so hopefully not repeating myself.

Ferguson was and experienced manager who had won several domestic trophies and two European trophies before joining Man U, and he was managing in a much tougher league. There were many reasons to stick by him.

If you compare what Ferguson had achieved before going to Man U and what Ronny had achieved prior to coming to us, there really is no argument for sticking with Ronny
