Leeds United, Leicester City and Watford could be joined by Cardiff City and other Championship clubs in the race to sign Craig Conway, but Rangers are now out of the bidding for the out-of-contract Dundee United and Scotland winger. (Daily Express)

Emmanuel Adebayor faces the prospect of returning to Manchester City this summer after it was revealed that Real Madrid will only sign him as a last resort.

Jose Mourinho was considering a permanent bid for Adebayor after the Togo international enjoyed a successful loan spell at the Bernabeu last season.

But Real are not willing to meet City's £14m asking price for the striker and would rather sign Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero or Santos star Neymar this summer.

But Real know there is a chance they could end up with neither of their primary targets and only then will they press ahead in their attempts to sign Adebayor, who they would be willing to pay £6m for.

Marseille have joined the long list of clubs who are considering a move for Swansea target Jonathan Soriano.

The Barcelona B striker has emerged as one of Brendan Rodgers' main summer targets after their promotion to the Premier League but the Swans manager faces a battle to land his man.

Wigan and Blackburn are also understood to be aware of Soriano's progress following his 32 goals in just 37 appearances in the Spanish Second Division last season.

But now Marseille are ready to offer him the chance to play in Ligue 1, according to reports in France. And the new Roma manager Luis Enrique, who left his post as Barca B manager to take over at the Serie A club, is also keen to make his former player the focal point of his new side's attack

Pep hasn't used the B team well enough in my opinion. He should have moved players like Soriano into the first team last season. Instead of struggling with a smaller squad.

I'd rather have Gibbo than Henderson.

Hendersons better obviously but he aint worth 20m, was pretty evident last night.

Hopefully it means theyve targeted someone for midfield.

I do agree that Henderson is better but at this stage of there career there's not much in it.

I dont think Henderson or Jones are up to much, its hilarious that theyve cost £35+million combined just because they will probably be in the England team in future.

Dominguez and Herrera or Thiago were a lot better than them and would set you back about £15million for the 3 of them :56:

Thiago is viewed as the next superstar in Barcelona, I doubt you would get him for anything less than what Henderson went for.

Probably be a safer buy to be honest, Thiago looks like an Iniesta clone at this stage, dunno how the * Barcelona manage it.

I honestly doubt it, the hype surrounding him in Spain and from Barca fans is immense. It would be like us giving away Islam Feruz and £8m for Stan Petrov.

    Barcelona fans wouldn't accept it.

I think you would, they are supposed to have him open to giving him away in a swap plus money for players they wan. He is quality and couldd be a future player for them but I think if someone like Sevilla offered £6million for him they would take it but have buy back clauses in it like them and Real do with a lot of their younger players like De La Red, Crosas etc
