Been one of my favourite songs forever. Raw and heartfelt.

Over the moon it's been taken on to the Parkhead song book.

One of my favourite songs, delighted it's been added to the songbook.

I think it's quickly becoming a lot of people's favourite 'Celtic song' since it's properly taken off this season.

I put 'Celtic song' in quotation marks as I'm well aware of the meaning behind the song, but I'm delighted that it's being sung at every game now.

As said already, the version against Man City in the second half on Wednesday night was magical and it's going to sound amazing at away games also.

100 percent this for me too, the little medley that goes with it is amazing.

Grace never remarried. She must have been a powerful character. It was a poet and a warrior who fell in love with her and she knew it was only for 15 minutes. Such an interesting woman would not be short of admirers. Yet she stayed true to him even though she lived a long life.

How can anyone listen to this song and true story not be drawn into the emotions of it, how can anyone say they just don't get it and they hope it will grow on them, really really beyond comprehension. Both versions posted here are worthy of the song but for what it's worth I
think Jim McCann's (RIP) version just edges it, If nothing else it reminds us if needed to be of the cruelty and insensitivity of the British Govt at that time, * them to *.
ps. Does anyone know who wrote the song ?

Nah you really don't get it, it's much more than just a song , it's a story of two lives that were destroyed by the actions of an illegal govt but I'm wasting my time trying to have you understand that.
