This is of course the attitude a lot of people have but dig a little deeper and the attitude would be: "why do I want to spend nearly £30 on a ticket, plus travel and food and drink, to watch a game that has no real worth in a league that is all but guaranteed in a stadium that is only half filled, when I can stay at home and watch a better level of football on my big TV for free and save £30-40 every week or two."

I am not saying that is a right attitude, or the attitude of a "true fan" but these are the issues people weigh up when deciding to spend their time and money travelling the country to watch a game of football. It isn't my attitude but then I dont have a wife and kids to pay for, I earn enough money, and it takes me about and hour and a half to get to Celtic park. At a time when money is tight, people do not have much spare time, and there is so much easy access to watching a better level of football without leaving your home, I can see why numbers are down. These are all issues the board have to contend with.

£521 for aan * season ticket plus an under 13 ticket. Great value! It would have cost me £551 for an * ticket in the same section! (Main stand)

We sit in 209 FF 6 and 7 about 6 seats away from the prawn sandwich mob We have a decent seats not great right in line with the goal , the JS goal seems miles away and does my neck in having to twist all the time.

The GB are close so pretty loud there , the wee mans 17 so he has one more season of being in the £180 bracket then it gets worse

I would move over to 103 mate £560 for adults (not sure about 17yr olds) Not far from the half way line & a great view. there is seats available just now so should be some next season.

Because if it was or personally trying to keep 30 plus quid a week just wouldn't happen for me having a direct debit and paying a season ticket over 4
Months is just ideal! I'd also probably miss a few games due to being skint if I didn't have a season ticket having it come
    Off monthly keeps me intact!

It also gives you privalages when it comes to the bigger games

They really need to come up with something radical. Personally, i think kids who are at school should be paying a nominal fee, if anything, to get in to a game. These are the future of the club.

What's the point in having empty seats when you could be sewing seeds of commitment in the future supporters of the club.

As for adults, maybe something like a tiered pricing where the sooner you buy yer ticket the cheaper it is. Might encourage a few to take in a game. Conversely, if a game is not sold out, let folk in for a nominal fee at the gate. Yer not telling me in this day and age that a computer system could easily identify where the seats are and provide a paper ticket in seconds.

I wonder what they will do.

If I was setting the prices id go

    0-11 £50 (£10 an SPL ticket)
    11-18 £150 (£15 an SPL ticket)
    18-21 £200 (£20 an SPL ticket)
    21+ £500 (£25 an SPL ticket)
    65+/Disabled £200 (£20 an SPL ticket)
With £50 extra for any season ticket in Main Stand or central in the North stand or £5 per ticket extra.

If you buy a Ticket for SPL Match aged 18+ you can get additional kids tickets for £5 each.

On season tickets id include 19 or 18 League games if it changes, two European Qualifiers and a home friendly. so 21/22 games. So on average a season ticket holder will be paying £22-23 per match + they get the benefits of getting European games first at maybe £10 cheaper than anyone else and Cup games at £5 cheaper than anyone else so that if you get a season ticket you could save about £50+ a season than if you bought all the same tickets seperatley.

Id also make it impossible for non season ticket holders to get Cup final tickets, I think it might be already im not 100%.

im in 108 and my st was £520 or £560 cant even mind now.. i had paid for old firm games aswell.... bummmmmmmmped!!! id like to see them reduce the price, maybe more fans would take up season tickets.. the club made decent money this year, so it could be worth while trying to lower the price to get people in the door..

200 quid for 18-21 sounds good to me. I'm going up to student prices next year and I'm not sure I can afford it especially when my dad has a ST and can't make every game so I could use his about 5-7 games a season

ST prices and match ticket prices must go down or our crowds will dwindle further, simple as that.

tbh sadly prices aren't going to come down. They would need to decrease at least 50% to make any significant impact on peoples' wallets, and the amount of money we would lose would be collossal. We would have to probably make the quarters each year just to recoup that loss, and the whole point of Champions League is to make you PROFIT. i.e. extra money on top of your normal income - which is largely from tickets.
Sorry Bhoys but until the economy picks up or there is universal campaigning by fans all across Europe, ticket prices are only gonna go up if anything.

I agree with the sentiment but while people often suggest lowering the "at the gate" price doing so effectively punishes season ticket holders. Knowing no game is going to sell out, there would be no motivation to pay more money up front rather than just buying a cheaper ticket each week.

Simply put the board need to decide if they want to fill the stadium every week or if they want more money and lower crowds. Personally I would cut prices in half and let kids in for free. If that means a lower quality of player then so be it. But the atmosphere will improve, and it will introduce more youngsters to the club. Better that than an inevitable gradual season on season decline until we will be lucky to get 35000.

I thought the idea of giving away tickets to season ticket holders in December was a good idea but it wasn't marketed or managed particularly well. Does anyone remember did it make much difference to attendances for these games or not ?

I know it was done just before Christmas because Celtic obviously thought the crowds would be small but do people think this offer was actually taken up by many ?

Well I was lucky enough to pick up a free ticket for the ross county game on 22ns December. The free tickets where all allocated for the Lisbon lion upper tier( right above green brigade) and I must say it was very busy where it is normally very quiet. They did give away 5k tickets but due to the timing there where many season ticket holders not present. It was a good idea from the club and hopefully they persuaded some of these people to attend more games.

I'm over £600 for my son (16) and myself , I won't be renewing mine but will get my son his , I feel £600 is far too expensive for the product on view.

Celtic need to get out of scotland

They wont go down. With the season we have had in the Champions League, Celtic have already been focusing on showing how many benefits you get as a season ticket holder.

They are going to push this further and further.

The best we can hope for is a freeze.
