So then the people who don't opt out who have no intention of going back to games be it isolation or covid related get put into ballots for tickets they can't use therfore doing people like yourself out of going to games

 

Mate your being a bit of a bell end here.

It is going to be hard for some fans outside Glasgow to go mostly for travel reasons. This is why the club is asking everybody to confirm if they want to go. They want to go but might not be able to because of the reasons given by St Pauli.

I think this thread has been driven off topic slightly by some "clever" * typing ASAP. They should probably look to get a job at the ticket office

 

So opt everybody in then peolple might not be able to go. Then we have seats sitting empty.

You're simply opting to be added to their ballot system at this point fs

You then opt in on a match by match basis. If you can go, you opt in. If you can't, you don't. There won't be seats sitting empty. It's not rocket science.

 

In fact is the main reason behind this not to help with the allocation of seating bubbles rather than whether you want to go

 

So people are moaning about opting in once but you want them to do it for every game.

Do either of you 2 travel from a good distance to go to games? St Pauli is saying if not enough people from his CSC get tickets to the same game, its not feasible to travel up FFS

I'm not from pauli's csc but one near him I'm sure and it's the same for them sometimes they'll take two cars but then it means two guys volunteering and then them losing out on their day out really

Right now; the club are asking you if you want to be added to their ballot system. I think this is ridiculous. Everyone should be added by default. They're asking if you want to be added to the system with anyone else, so you all go into future ballots together. This makes sense.

There will then be a ballot for every game. And yes, you will have to opt in for every game you want to go to.

Pauli's point is bang on and makes sense. It applies to supporters buses up and down the country and across the Irish sea. I'm struggling to see what your point is?

 

Yes that's the second reason the club has given for 'opting in'. It could have been done the same way as last year though, it's the 'opting in' part that makes no sense.

 

My point is you need to have fans opt in or not. Not everybody is going to make it to games for the reasons mentioned. No point having empty seats when other fans can get to games. I see your point about opting in for each game but we already have fans moaning about doing it once.

You absolutely do. And you need to do this on a match by match basis, which will be the case.

This first step of having to opt in just to be added to the club's ballot system is a load of * IMO.

Given the deadline of 1 July, it's likely some ST holders, (particularly older, less tech savy ST holders) could be caught out by this. And then cannot enter any of the individual match ballots and as a result, cannot attend CP this season.

I do agree that the point that there was no need for season ticket holders to be asked if they want to opt into the system should have been automatic. ( though as Alec said does getting a ticket for one game mean you move down the list for later games? )

Where I picked up @LTPS was phrases like "every Celtic fan I know" and "ASAP" which I just find a bit silly.

 

They revealed nothing about the ballot process in advance of the renewal deadline. Either by design or they haven’t even figured it out yet

It does worry me a little

I get that with the way our board are mate. They should have confirmed the full process. I just don't think there is anything wrong with asking fans to opt in with the restrictions we may have.

Hopefully we get back to normal asap for all the fans.

This is one of the problems. They really don't know how many fans will be allowed in yet. Hoping its full capacity as we all just want to get back.
