when I watch the final I will be going mad to win it and teach that McCall a footballing lesson. At the moment though, still recovering from wednesday night and still thinking of the league.

First of all we must win this cup final against that wee scum ginger runt Mccall.Motherwell players gave away 56 fouls to Celtic when they beat us at Fir Park,so Im told. And guess what 7 against the scum at same venue. Not that Im making any excuses for our whole teams performance that day,but read into those stats if you will.We simply cant go 2 seasons without a trophy, except for the Wembley Cup.Its just not good enough ! The fans have been right behind the team all season, after all the * that has went on.The players have let everyone down by not winning the league,if that ends up the case.In answer to the thread, obviously I want us to win the cup but in no way will it be any consolation in losing the league to one of the worst scum teams I have seen, and Ihave been around a long long time.Iwill not be going to the cup final as I am absolutely gutted at our capitulation. No words on here can express my anger .I know it will pass,it always does.,and before anyone on here starts ranting on at me for not going to the final,I have been to every game this season home and away and that includes europe.Thats how bad I feel..Rant over !

Not interested in the Scottish Cup - Only the League and ive kept the faith for 3 years and we could end up * trophyless yet again. A downright red neck the way our support have been treated by these imposters on the board and imposters in the team. a change from top to bottom is needed..cos when you have cheapskates and bottlers on board we will win * all. and yes am still * off with wed night and certain other * performances throughout the season.

Entitled to your opinion, but not a good attitude to have as a Celtic supporter. The Scottish Cup was something to be proud of back in the days of Jock Stein etc, but now, it just seems to be regarded as the consolation cup. It will be a hollow victory if we lose the league, like I said before, but it will still be one to be proud of if we defeat Motherwell in the final.

The Scottish Cup is nothing without the league. Look at 2005 when we won it just after we * the league down the toilet, the players looked embarrassed lifting the trophy. League was the priority and we've * up, anything else was bonus this season.

I love the way some people moan about us ending up trophyless then turn around and say they couldn't give a * about winning the Scottish Cup. :97:

obviously winning the cup is 2nd to winning the league. but we have a very good chance to win the cup, lennon and the squad have a very good chance of getting a win under their belt. its a must win, both lennon and the team know this.

Perhaps people's attitude towards the Scottish Cup is a generational thing.

I suspect that most Celtic fans over 30, as I am, still take great joy in winning the Scottish Cup because the Scottish Cup Final was a huge event when we were growing up. Memories of Davie Provan's free-kick vs Dundee Utd, Frank McGarvey's diving header in the same match and Frank McAvennie's brace to seal the double in the Centenary season are still cherished by your average 30+ Celtic supporter.

It would seem that Celtic fans under the age of 20 don't share this passion for the Scottish Cup because it has become all about winning the league and playing in the Champions League these days.

For me, that's a real shame. Winning the Scottish Cup will always mean a lot to me.

Whilst I agree the league is the main goal, I still think it's the wrong attitude to show towards the Scottish Cup. I still regard it as a big thing to win, even though it may not be the main priority for the season.

if we win this we should lift it with pride and get behind the team. remember what we done to get here, playing the huns off the pitch with ten men and cheating then all the agro at parkhead with diouf and mccoist in the replay. then a midweek trip up to inverness. is that all forgot about? just because were not playing the huns in the final doesnt make it any less important weve already knocked they cheating * out.
