CYPRUS’ youth football received another boost this week when Scottish Premiership giants Celtic announced that two young Cypriot players will be going to Glasgow for a week’s trial at the ‘Bhoys’ football academy.
Seventeen year-old Charalambos Palas from Paphos and sixteen year-old Marios Theodorou from Nicosia were spotted by the Scottish academy coaches during the Celtic Summer School of Football run by local academy, Pansolios in June.
Pansolios club secretary, George Iacavou, said the boys had been informed and were delighted with the news of their forthcoming trip to the UK.
Goalkeeper Palas and midfielder Theodorou will join the Celtic academy for a week from 27th August.

Celtic coach Greig Robertson had initially selected four potential players for the academy, however he explained why only two boys would be going to Scotland.
“There was some fantastic talent at the camp but at this stage, due to the number of players we have in our Youth Academy and the number of players we trial around the world, we have to stick with the two as previously agreed before the camp.”
The Pansolios Academy will be arranging another Celtic visit to the island next year.

Napoli midfielder Sam Dalla Bona could be returning to the UK. The former Chelsea star has been made available by Napoli and is attracting interest from Celtic.

Dalla Bona's career is pretty similar to Donati's, promising youngster (was captain of the Italian u18's squad/9 u-21's caps) he was signed for Chelsea at the age of 18 and played regularly for the first team, he left to AC Milan over a contract dispute (he wanted 10,000 p/w, which is pretty reasonably for a first team player) at Milan he couldn't force himself into the first team (same way Donati couldn't) so he was farmed out on loan to lower clubs for 3 years and then signed for SSC Napoli where he played almost every match for them last season.

Playing from midfield he's not exactlya profilic goal scorer but his main strength lies in how hard working and tidy his overall play is although he does get the odd one now and then when presented with the chance:

All in all, despite there being an overabundance of players already vying for a place in midfield, I'd say sign right him up :50:

He mainly plays centre mid but can go on both wings or in Defensive Mid if need be, he's pretty versatile.

Why's he being made available by Naploi? If it's for football reasons then thats not encouraging. Why do we need cast-offs of a relegation threatened team?

He hasn't been made available but no non-supergiant team can afford to hold on to every player if the right offer comes along, besides take every rumor that doesn't have a source with a pinch of salt.

Hull City star Bo Myhill is rumored to be attracting the interest of Scottish giants Celtic.

Celtic boss Gordon Strachan is reported to be keeping tabs on the American born keeper as he looks to win the Scottish Premier League, but any move is unlikely at the current time.

Myhill has often been linked with a move away from the club since his £50,000 arrival from Aston Villa. The former Villa keeper helped the side achieve promotion from League 1 and then keep the Tigers in the Championship for the following two seasons with a string of impressive displays.

Myhill's continued good form soon earned him many admirers which was reported to include premiership top four outfit Arsenal. The more modest likes of Wigan and Charlton Athletic were also interested as well as Wales who tried to tempt the goalkeeper with an international call-up. However, the ambitious keeper rejected an approach in a bid to one day represent England.

Boaz has found himself on the bench in recent league games as Matt Duke has taken over the number one jersey in the Tigers last three league games. However, the impressive shot-stopper was recalled for the League Cup game against Wigan Athletic and an inspired performance saw Hull City set-up a third round date with Chelsea.

There have often been questions over Myhill's command of his area as well as his general decision making but on his day, he is one of the best shot-stoppers in the Championship and for that reason he attracts a heavy amount of interest.

Although Matt Duke is currently performing well in goal, there will be many City fans hoping that one of the club's star assets is not released without adequate cover.
