Rick Astley set for a trial at Scottish Giants- Celtic. :

Rick Astley is set for a trial at Celtic FC after he ran out of contract with Accrington Stanley F.C. He is a defensive midfielder who has scored twice in his career.

Some video I found of him:

Kim The Tim, what are your thoughts on him??

What about Billy Sharp of Scunthorpe.

He's only 21 and scored 30 goals this season. If he's doing that in League 1 at that age he could certainly score a lot of goals in the SPL.Sharp is the type of player we desperatley need,a goal poacher.:34:

He wouldn't cost too much[about 2 million] and would probably jump at the chance to join Celtic:50:

If we are talking about potential signings then why don't we try for Andy Keogh. 21, from Ireland.I saw him six times for Wolves last season and he always impressed me with his technical ability, heading, pace, intelligence, and work rate.At 21 he will only get better

Andy Ried from Charlton. He can play CM or on the wing.He has a great range of passing and has an eye for a goal and a killer pass. He's left-footed aswell which is good for the balance of the team.
Both Keogh and Reid are irish aswell which is a bonus for all the Irish celtic supporting fans out there:celt_2:

Maybe Chris Eagles?Admittedley I have only seen him twice but he looked good and he wouldn't cost much now that Nani and Anderson have arrived at Manyoo.

What do you guys think of the three of them?

Argh. He would be a nice addition to Celtic. But turning down the US national team when you lived 16 years in the US. And only moved to Italy when you were offered a spot on the Parma reserves and then join the Italian national team. :38:

With Celtic outgunning city rivals Rangers in the financial resources stakes, the rumour mill is rife in Glasgow about where Strachan will spend his cash.

He has already signed strikers Scott McDonald, who cost £700,000 from Motherwell, and Chris Killen, who was out of contract with Hibernian.

Scotland midfielder Scott Brown has also arrived from Easter Road for £4.4m.

Celtic are believed to have been interested in bringing Craig Bellamy back to Glasgow and the Wales striker was thought to have been extremely interested.

But it is believed that Liverpool's price tag of up to £9m will ward off Strachan's interest.

Celtic are known to be interested in West Brom midfielder Jason Koumas, but the Wales international is more likely to join a Premiership club in England.

Wage restrictions would also put paid to rumours that Arsenal winger Freddie Ljungberg was at Celtic Park for signing talks on Thursday.

Of those names doing the rounds, Manchester United reserve striker Giuseppe Rossi is a more realistic loan signing.

Reports that Celtic have told Kilmarnock of their interest in Rangers target and Scotland squad striker Steven Naismith appear to have been wide of the mark.

Huddlestone is a great player but dont think spurs will let him go as he challenging for a 1st place and generally comes on as a sub

Celtic have cooled their interest in Paraguay international midfielder Cristian Riveros. Hoops chief scout John Park had the Libertad star watched last week when Paraguay faced Austria in a friendly and have also had him followed over the past month as his Paraguayan club reached the semifinals of the Copa Libertadores.
However, Celtic chose to turn their attentions elsewhere this week.
Apart from Riveros, the ambitious Glasgow giants are ready to build their profile in South America and have also been in contact with the agent of Spartak Moscow's Brazil international Mozart.
