It'll continue until August :smiley-laughing002: It does get a bit tiresome, but that's basically it. He has nothing to prove domestically and everything to prove in Europe.

I'd say that if he gets papped out of the Scottish cup, and wins the league by less than ten points he'll have a fair bit to prove domestically still.

A double will keep the hounds at bay during the summer, but winning the league by less than ten points may not.

I don't give a * if we win by 30+ points or on goal difference, winning is winning.

There's winning and then there's winning convincingly

Sorry mate, but winning the SPFL title by a few points over sides who can't hold a candle to us financially really won't wash.

History won't show that we only won it by a few points. I can understand your concerns in regards to it, but in the long run it doesn't really matter as long as we win it.

.... or history will show we ignored the slide downwards under a rookie manager and * 10 in a row for ourselves.

Always strive for the best you can do. The best we can do isn't winning the SPFL by a couple of points. If we get 90+ points I'll be happy regardless though, if they're hanging onto our coattails with that amount of points, fair * to them.

Totally agree with the part in bold, I'm just saying that as long as we win it I'll be quite happy.

    I don't think we'll win 10 in a row either.

Do you think Barca and Real thought than when the 'minnow' of Atletico beat them both?

Fact is that we might not be hitting the big numbers like we want, but Aberdeen are averaging about 2 points a game - the equivalent of winning all you home games and drawing all of your away games. Think it's a bit disrespectful to dismiss that without consideration. It's probably good enough to have challenged some of the old firm league wins of years gone by...

That's 76 points in a season. We should be beating that.

Exactly, if we win the league by a handful of points because we drop loads then aye that's * and it'd have to be looked at, but if we win by a few because lets say Aberdeen keep beating the rest of the league comfortably and pick up a huge amount, 80-85+ that's a different story.

Our lowest total recently was when Lenny won the league his 3rd season with 79 points, most people would find that unacceptable, but even if we dropped that low Aberdeen only managed 72 last year, but still had the same folk around christmas last year talking * that Aberdeen could win it and we'd be lucky to win anything under Ronny.

Hearts and Aberdeen are both good sides, in relative terms. They are a significant level above every other side in the League so it's natural that they win games and pick up points more often than not.

Our domestic form is also good though, in relative terms. Folk always seem to forget we are as good if not better under Deila in that respect than any of his predecessors. Or do remember then bring up the fact the Huns died. Yawn.

Anything other than a win and he must fall on the sword. I'd even sack him if he wins because we can do better but that's neither here nor there.

'There is nothing to fear but fear itself.' Maybe because we don't have a domestic rival now it's being replaced with the fear we will lose it rather than someone else winning it.

If another team wins it with more points than we normally get then fair play to them. It's unlikely though.

In a long distance race, everyone looks much closer half way through.
