It has actually been even quieter than after a win the past couple of days. Guess this is what it would be like if we all agreed on everything!

 

Og1 is banned, finally some piece & quiet. Feel sorry for whoever he starts annoying now that he can't talk pish on here.

Definitely very quiet in here. Wonder what he was banned for. Not much on his previous posts apart from the usual nonsense.

Got a feeling he might re-invent himself shortly.

 

I was planning to make thread asking when everyone thought og1 was finally going to get banned just yesterday, this was inevitable

So it's safe to return to this place.

My tuppence worth: after the disappointment that was Europe, I was dead against Ronny, wanted him out, with no real answer for a replacement either mind you. I've always liked the guy, he comes across well and I want him to do well. At times his lack of a plan B has irked me, so to see two up top was a nice change, and the fact Johansen lost his place made me think, "OK, he's learning too". But really at Celtic, you don't want a guy learning as they go, you want him to know everything already and have the answers to anything. But I've kinda turned and I'm now cutting him some slack. Wee bit of a feel good factor back recently so I'm riding along with it. Ultimately, the CL qualifiers are the litmus test. Please Ronny, get it right! I'm totally behind you. And if there's a treble in ya, well * me, I'll eat my words from earlier in the season. I'll even join in your Roar!

Another good result this weekend would be nice and with some luck another player or two in the door...even if its just some loan deals.
Can't really expect us to buy multiple players in each window.

As news broke of og1's ban -

 

Who knows whether Ronny's plan will ultimately fail or succeed but he is still doing and saying things which makes sense.

Maybe for the first time since he joined I can see a real balance to his team:

2 x quality keepers

2 x RBs, Lustig, with Janko backup

2 x LBs, Tierney with Izzy backup

4 x CBs, Jozo and Sviatchenko with Ambrose and Boyata backup

4 x DMFs - Brown and Bitton with Johanson and Mulgrew backup

8 x AMFs (for three spaces its 2 too much though) but lots of young talent with potential there

3 x ST Griffiths with Cole and Cifci backup (not ideal)

That's 2 x first teams with genuinely enough ability to hold down a first team place, which means the guy in form can play and the other will play when he loses form / gets injured / needs rest.

It's a good shape and is coming together. Like I say who knows ultimately what success it might bring but it at least looks like a team for the future with plenty of room to grow.

From then on it should be a one-in, one-out basis which includes if / when Henderson comes back and the likes (though I think Stokes is a goner.)

Like I say, the team looks like it is beginning to take shape, it's quite pleasing on the eye as a fan*

Good assessment overall.
The phony war is just about over as regards the merits of Deila.
The next two crucial games against Ross County and Aberdeen will give us a clear insight into whether we are progressing or not under him.
