I think he'll get a fair few if he digs up Lawwell's driveway.

I would be happy for him to be replaced now. I do see a glimmer of hope that he might be the right man but not enough to make me feel it is worth the gamble. If the board keep him and he goes on to prove me wrong then great.

That is the most warped post I've ever seen you make it.

Denayer was a good signing for Celtic, whether we had him for a Season as we did or whether we bought him and he left after 2 Seasons.

We can't make lower level signings based on the fact they may leave for better things be it loans like Denayer or permanent like Forster or VVD. The exact same argument could be made both of those 'left us in the lurch' as well.

We got far more than a year out of those two though, they were our players we could build around. Like I said, very good player but I don't think him signing helped with our main goals - last years qualifiers and this years qualifiers.

Very good player though, no doubt. I'll upgrade it to 3 good signings out of 19, if it makes you feel better. * it, 4, I liked Guidetti as well.

I honestly have no idea why you try and deflect the blame from deila here. As far as I'm aware, we don't operate differently from the vast majority of clubs when it comes to signings players.

    1. Manager identifies a position.

    2. Scouts draw up a shortlist/database of players.

    3. Manager picks who he wants and lawwell makes the deal if possible.

The unescapable reality is that deila picks where he wants to strengthen and has the final say in who he wants to sign. That's why - similarly to pretty much every other manager in the world- the responsibility of getting it right or wrong lies with him.

Simply put Deila has cost the club upwards of £40M in lost revenue through his manifest failure in two Champions League Campaigns, and it is inconceivable to my mind, that the Celtic board would risk him failing again on a third CL Campaign.

That's just your opinion on what's happening. There's no actual proof to what you'rr saying.

The squad isn't good enough to qualify the CL, Pep Guradiola would struggle with this lot

    No he wouldn't :smiley-laughing002:

no he wouldn't. He has 3.5 years left on his contract. If he plays 6 games in 4 years he would be rightfully deemed a terrible signing.

Janko will be a good signing I think. He isn't yet though, as he's inly played a handful of ganes for us.

The reason Deila has not had his books yet is because Deila is Peter Lawell's pet project. Lawwell brought Deila here to the club to undermine Lenny as his No.2. Lenny quite rightly told Lawwell to * off and quit. Lawwell is frightened to sack Deila, even though you and I would have been sacked long time ago with Deila's disastrous record, as it would be tantamount to Lawwell admitting he had got it all wrong, as he has.

Obviously you're editing your original post to show how you
    know this is true.

What that we've signed the players Ronny has personally seen? Eh... aye, look at the players we've signed :smiley-laughing002:

It takes time to build a working relationship, it's not a criticism of Ronny, it's just what we've been doing. Looks to have worked a beaut with Jozo.

Can a manager change a team and get all the players he needs in 18 months and on the spending power we have.....i don't think so.

Im not making excuses for the guy as he has made mistakes that have * all to do with who is in the team.

But a big part of me wish we could see further down the line when the first 11 and bench are his choice.
