We don't budget for the CL it's too risky, we live within our means which I much prefer instead of spending stupid money we are not guaranteed to * ourselves over 5 years down the line. The higher the wage of the manager the more he'll want to spend.

I don't have a preference for any particular manager, just one who meets the criteria rather than a rookie with a hard on for training.

Bollocks. We tell the manager he's getting a decent wedge because there's * all to spend so he has to make the best of what he's got.

A lot of managers will say no. But there must be at least one who'd relish the challenge.

Think he's got more than a few seasons in him. But in about 20 years time he could fit the profile

So you really don't think that we could temp a decent manager if we offered a good salary but limmited budget for players. Whilst offering the chance of managing a CL side?

Young managers would either be like Ronny and not up to it, or not fancy the limitations. But some would relish the chance to take us back to the CL

Good point. Who gives a * about the Champions League and watching decent football, we're on for the treble.

If Ronny had managed Scotland's first football team, our national sport would be cricket.

It's as risky not to invest as it is budgeting for a season without CL cash. It's about risk and reward. Personally I think accepting our performances in Europe is accepting mediocrity. I think it's becoming endemic within our support.

Part of why we are successful and are a big club is our expectation! As soon as they fall our club falls with it, dangerous slope we are on at the moment. Nothing to do with fans being spoilt.

The awkward moment when a pop-star from the 70s knows more about appointing football managers than the board of directors of Celtic FC.

Think I'd trust Justin Beiber to choose the next manager than the board! Now I live with the shame of having Beiber in my post! Ronny and the two johnnies must go for that.
