As far as I remember, every Celtic manager has crashed out of Europe at the fjrst hurdle in the last.....what......20 year?

    Deila - out
Lennon - pumped against Utrecht, royally pumped against Sion (technicality took us into Europea League)
Mowbray - Arsenal and that diving * Eduardo skelped us
    Strachan - Bratislava
O'Neill - pretty sure Bordeux put us out the Uefa Cup qualifiers
Barnes - cannie remember us being in European group/cup competition
same with Venglos, Jansen and Burns?

Not against ronny as he doesnt have the players to properly fit his system and the game he wants to play. I would leave the deadwood out and play youngsters like mcgregor full of energy and buzzing around the pitch full of energy.

These young lads come into the side with something to prove and jump at the chance , unlike some of the big time charlies that think they only have to turn up.

King Kenny and Henrik. Proud to have seen them both play.
I really like the guy and want him to succeed.

Some baffling decisions have left me scratching my head and wondering if nobody says 'Haw, Ronny, Adam Matthews is a crackin RB, ye shouldnae be puttin him on for Berget, that's just daft, man!' or 'Hey, big man, I ken Commons canny run much but he's feckin brilliant in the playmaker role behind a striker. Let's try that, ay?' but I'm with him.

But what if we dinny win the league? Or are behind Aberdeen or some buggers at Christmas?

What then? Can we really get behind his potential re-dawn of our club?

I'm ALL for revolutionising the STANDARDS in the club but I DO NOT want to be weak when sevco come back up. Which they will!

These are exactly my concerns. The players struggle this season to get to grips with the manager's desired style of play and we drop points. He plays players out of position to try and get his preferred style of play and we drop points. We don't win the league and that other crowd gets promoted and panic buying sets in where we end up with even more inferior players than we currently have AND worse scenario of all SEVCO wins the league

Should have added that as much as I have warmed to the guy's personality I just have a gut feeling he is our version of Paul le Guen

When Ronny was appointed, I was pleased but could see lot of pain coming first because of his track record. Yes he has his way playing - after a few games here, heaven knows what that is - but in the 6 seasons he was at Stromsgodset, it took him 4 seasons before they had a positive goal difference, almost got relegated after season 2 and had 2 successful years in season 5 & 6. Now, to those saying 100% Ronny, are you prepared for more Pain coming our way? We have never, never, given any Manager, no matter who, that amount of support. We are brutal when it comes to expectations.

Ronny will have until end November to prove himself, then the dice will roll.

I'm 50/50 at the moment, like others have said he talks a good game but I've yet to see it, clearly not learnt from his mistakes.

I just don't see how he is going to make his stamp on the side with a few loan deals and I don't see us getting a bunch if players in the Jan window.

Only time will tell, he is here for 12 months so let's wait and see.

Unfortunately, I think he has a point here.

I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that the club are stockpiling cash for when they appear in the SPL - and looking likely they will get substantial financial backing.

I didn't think they were saving as much cash as I do now.

When zombie huns are at the top table, we will see cash aplenty being spent.

I'm with him, but I don't think his start here could have gone any worse. We're brutal.

Nah, Uefa Cup was first - Christophe Dugarry ran the show both legs.

Ajax was the following year :50:

Apparently rumours he's quit. I don't believe it, * from my works been saying though :56:

Only reason I'm saying on here is I was the exact same way when Lenny left.

I highly doubt he's quit, we gave him a fantastic opportunity and to quit before he's even had a chance to build his own team would be ludicrous.

I don't doubt Ronny for a second however. He has a plan and whether it's the boards fault or not that we don't have good enough players is not his fault, he just has to deal with it.

Brendan Rodgers at Liverpool is a good example. Finished 7th in his first season and had a disastrous start to that season, leading many fans to question his tactics, players being used and style of play. That was only after a month or so too, he was given time though and the board/fans stuck with him for the most part and he eventually got his ideas across and with the players he wanted was really able to utilize his philosophy.

To be against Deila because some of his ideas are tad unconventional and go against British/Scottish football is extremely silly. I mean it's still August, tactical inept is a joke criticism, how do you know he's tactically inept? He doesn't have the player/team he wants yet, when he does, then we can question his tactics. Do you think he's happy his only striking options are Stokes, Griffiths and Pukki? Or that Mulgrew is the closest thing we have to a proper defensive midfielder? I know people like to kid themselves but these players are barely English championship standard let alone Celtic standard.

Anyways, I'm 100% behind Ronny until he's given a long enough period, has brought in players he wants and seems happy with everything. If we're still an absolute mess then because he's "tactically inept", then I'll question him!

He's got my full backing. Just a shame he didn't get the board's.
