    Was thinking this as well.

Folk want rid of Deila then suggest Rogers who essentially has the exact same philosophy and ideas. :56:

Except he can't even make it work after spending near enough half a billion quid.

I can do math, when we could have only qualified for two Champions League Group Stages, he can only fail twice.

    He failed to beat Legia.

He then got a second chance at the same campaign (even though we didn't deserve it but Legia * up, not us).

    He failed to beat Maribor.

    He failed to beat Malmo.

    1 + 1 + 1 = 3.

How could I not. He failed to qualify against Sion and got in by default. That team knowingly cheated by playing 5 players who were not eligible despite being warned. What happened to Legia was a disgrace to sport. I am no less ashamed now than I was then. Not the same scenarios but failure is failure.

Under normal conditions yes, but he was gifted a second chance and failed again.

    So he had 3 attempts

    Some folk are mental.

There was a guy on here saying we had one of the most exciting young managers in Europe not long ago.

There is a simple way to gauge the work he's done. Have we progressed? The answer to that is a resounding no.

    Who though?

I'm not being a * here either I'm generally just interested to see who people would want if he is to go, which even I am beginning to think is increasingly possible.

I don't want Lambert and I don't see Rogers as realistic. Besides he doesn't fit that description of yours either. He is essentially the Irish Deila.

I dont want Rodgers either. I have previously suggested DiMatteo, MON, WGS, Lennon. Im sure there is smart tactical coaches in the German and Italian leagues. I previously said that Harry Redknapp always got the best out of his players although I wouldnt be too keen on him if truth be told. There is loads of people out there.

    His European record stands at P23 W8 D7 L8 GF 35 GA 35

That is in no way a good record, we've not even faced an upper level European side yet if we're being honest.

I may be wrong in fact. Apparently he's won 8 out of 28 European matches, and 4 wins have came against part time opposition.

Thomas Schaaf would be my pick if he's willing.

Is Legia counted as a win or a loss?

So would next year be his 3rd or 4th attempt at getting is into the Champions League? It would be his third attempt wouldn't it.

I meant you get into the Champs League if you win the Europa:56:

    You're right though.

Exactly. Technically we beat Legia if we are going down this route. He has failed twice.
