Aye agreed. I think it was an honest assessment from Deila, and I would go along with it. I would rather that, than him come out and say we played well etc etc, when we all know we were shocking.

I agree with all of this, except that Ronny bears the brunt of the blame. For me he only bears the brunt for the 1st paragraph - although that's huge!
Outplayed, out fought and lack of desire lies squarely on the players. And Deila did try to make changes, they just didn't work - none of the subs changed anything. also a bit brave going with Janko and Mulgrew, even if those didn't come off. * happens.
As everyone has already said, blame lies on all fronts. Lets not go crazy and throw the baby out with the bathwater.

I always think a manager should shoulder the blame in public and * rip into his players in private. That's how you get players to run through brick walls for you.

The fact that Commons and Gordon have come out and said the exact opposite to ronny doesn't bode well for dressing room harmony.

Dalia makes it easy for half decent teams to beat us, 1 striker up front or in ciftis case no striker up front and a slow as * build up!

I haven't heard what Gordon said but Commons started his statement with 'from a personal point of view....no' which puts a different spin on things to an extent. You could read into that, that some did freeze in his opinion but just not him.

    It's a weird situation really.

Are we a better team now than when Ronny took over? I don't think so to be honest. He's had a full season here and I don't think our style of play is good to watch either. He promised fast, exciting football but it's quite the opposite most of the time.

I love the guy and he says all the right things but I just don't see it on the park yet. Another season and if we don't make it to the CL next year then it's time to change it up I think.

At the end of the day EPL managers get sacked if they look at risk of relegation due to finances.

CL qualification is our equivalent and he has failed, I don't recognise last season as his fault it wasn't his team but this is now his team and it's simply not good enough.

This. Publicly humiliating the players will not achieve anything but disharmony.
I also find it hard to believe that having faced Barca in Camp Nou that Brown, Mulgrew or Commons were quivering in their boots at having to face Malmo with only a one goal lead.

But no player is ever going to stand there and say yes we was or i was scared.
There may have been a couple that werent scared but most of that team last night bottled it.

Dressing room will be fine, its not like ronny is being unfair or unjust.

We are getting better but the one area that is suffering is our defence and sadly its really just been patched up as players leave...it badly need improving not just repairs when loan players go back to their club or when vvd goes.

We are still quite inconsistent in terms of our style of play under him.

Sometimes we press and hurry the opposition, win the ball up the park and score 3 or 4 goals.

Other times we look slow and out of ideas.

We need to find some sort of consistency in our style and performance.

My only problem with Ronny is replacing Guidetti with Ciftci even if Guidetti couldn't be arsed at least he looked like a goalscoring threat

The sooner Ciftci's ban is over, the sooner we can get a proper look at how he'll do for us. Doesn't look promising but you've got to give him a chance.

All his signing have been lazy and uninspiring. Boyata, Allan, Ciftci, GMS all not good enough for Celtic. Janko and Armstrong are the only promising players he's signed. SPL players and EPL rejects is what he's signed is he not capable of looking further afield?

Possibly, but how would you have felt if Deila had said we were unlucky and didn't play all that badly? Heard that plenty times after far worse performances than eve last night. Of course Commons & Gordon aren't going to say they were scared, but we were all watching the game, and could see we weren't great in possession. I think Deila had every right to get tore into the players after that shambles last night. At the end of the day, it's his job that's on the line, more so than the players in my opinion.

In what way are we getting better? We have improved since his first couple of months, but that was because they were a disaster. I'm talking about the team now compared to the last 6 months under Lenny, I don't think we're better.

I don't know what the answer is. It's just stale as * right now.

Would rather pay for a guy who knows the league then take a chance on a guy from abroad who might not settle

    Aye.

That's what I was saying last night. Our 'pressing game' was nowhere to be seen, it was a shambles.

It's tough when we play in Scotland and teams sit back but we are boring as * most of the time. The defence see more of the ball than anyone else. We get the ball in the final third, run out of ideas, play it back then start again.

    No imagination or creativity whatsoever.
