People need to calm down with ronnie sure he's a fantastic job which nobody saw happening considering the start we had but heads screwed on lads come back to reality he hasn't finished his first season and people are scared he could leave for a big club. Celtic are the biggest club he will get at this stage in his career maybe after 4 or 5 year (hope it's 7 + ) but maybe after that he will get a move like that but in reality nobody will get a move like that especially for the reason he hasn't finished a season yet and there's still a treble to be won! Well another 2 cups anyway!

Hail hail give us the treble roar!!

I like Deila too, but I agree with this wholly. You'll see in a couple of years if he is as great as we all want him to be.

For me personally, he hasn't proven anything [at all!] until the next CL qualifiers are over, and he has or hasn't brought Celtic back to the CL.

The fact is that he inherited a squad and came to a club that SHOULD be challenging for the league and a cup or two a year, simply because Celtic are in a league of their own in Scotland. European competition is where he will truly have to prove himself and his philosophy in the years to come.

Kudos to him for changing the diet and bringing Scottish football, and Celtic in particular, more along the lines of the big professional clubs. I'm pretty sure this is all done to be competetive in Europe, but to hail him for making Celtic dominate in Scotland seems a bit of a case of putting butter on lard.

But here's to continued success in Scotland, and renewed success in Europe in the years to come! :50:

I've never watched an interview with anyone to do with football and thought they seemed so honest. I truly believe he means everything he says and every question is taken in and genuinely answered never trying to deflect.

When he said he believed we were a "sleeping giant" I got goose bumps.

    BELIEVE IN RONNY!

He's from Dunfermline, Fife. Does sound similar though..

Fucksake, from wanting him out for McInness a month ago to now having the problem of keeping the big clubs off of him. Brilliant :56:

Nah I expect they recruit a German or promote within. Maybe in a few years though they will come and ask.

    Oh Ronny! Talk to me!

Very philosophical, but he has done what all the successful Celtic managers do and that's weather the storm. For some, the crumble - Moybray, For example. You will get a period that will feel like you're sunbathing on Mercury, the heat is that intense, but you got to ride it out and believe in your managerial ability. Strachan done it after Artmedia; Lennon until Kilmarnock; now Ronnie had to do it. He will have to do it again. It's the nature of football that the team will dip in form, but he knows he can do it. He has the core support behind him, too, which always helps.

Cheers for the Sutton interview. It was appreciated.
