While I couldn't remember the approx time frame, that was my point , a couple of weeks maybe 3 at a push was/isn't long enough to do much else in tbf. They had little option but to go with Ronny at that stage.

Its hard to say one way or the other how it would have worked out with Keane, I am biased though I just cant stand him.

Think the board probably will keep him on until the end of the season, but surely to * they can't let him be in charge next season?

Think it's plenty of time for most teams mate.

No the way I see it RD would have been a good No2 to Lenny.

To get candidates and get a new manager in 2 weeks nah don't think so.

That would have been an excellent appointment I'm sure.

Should be mate, the way I see it the club should always have an idea of who they want to go for when the manager leaves the hot seat, things chamge fast in football. Need to be prepared for it.

So it appears that Ronny stays till the end of the season. But that must be it then. I really can't imagine that he is the manager that will lead us in the Champions League.

Keeping Ronny is no longer an option for the Board, there are no credible reasons that can be offered to justify keeping him in place for next season, he's lost the players and he's lost the supporters, the onus is now on the Board to get this mess sorted by way of a new appointment and investment in the team.

Cannot believe he's held onto his job after that shambles yesterday. He should be gone.

It was also the original plan.

Ok I would agree with that just now and for the past few months, However cast your mind back, if such a list had been prepared and potential managers had been spoken with , while Lenny was in the job .. You/We would be going * mental mate. This place would have been in uproar about that 'back stabbing * lawwell/board' etc. As far as most were concerned ,at the time, Lenny was to be here for the following season and RD was to be his No2. So there was no need to have planned for a new manager.

Strangely I don't think he's lost the players at all.

He has now lost the fans entirely, however, and he has no come back from that. In fact if he drops another point in the last 5 games it could become both embarrassing for him with the support becoming more and more vocal and aggressive with it.

Neilson felt a backlash at Hearts after losing to Hibs, times that by 10 for the Celtic manager.

I would just think it prudent mate, have an idea about who you would if it all went wrong. Obviously, that list had one name on it and it was Roy Keane.

Pretty sure plenty of managers would have been interested in the job as Celtic manager still an attractive job, although no one interested in the terms and conditions, budget etc offered to them

I'd rather he just got sacked. Put Paul the tim in charge till the end of the season. Couldn't do any worse.

Normally possibly yes, but at that stage, we had sorted out that RD was to be the no2 and Lenny surely had indicated he was happy with that. As I said, if there was a few potential mangers spoken with we would have went * about that, so that's why the 2/3 weeks was not long enough imo anyway.

PTT is probably more respected amongst the players.

Sack him then we can have a thread on this forum with a poll. We vote who we want in the starting 11. Couldn't be any worse than what we have just now!!!
