Youth development is OK- they need not be overturned. Scouting...so-so. Lennon has had better signings than Deila, and the scouting network is the same. TBF, Sviatchenko is good, and so is the loanee Roberts. Allan is OK, but has been given enough game time.

 

If the club were thinking we can't risk letting him go now because any big changes like that could risk the league then they * idiots.

Give Lenny temporary charge, let him rub his ego a little with lifting the title after the * he endured with Bolton, it's gives him something to do and he is someone we all know would take us to finish line.

While he's doing that they can consider whether or not to give him the job again and give him regular backing and more power over who the club sign, if he's not interested then continue to look elsewhere while he gets through the next few games.

More like PL and DD have seen that Ronny is the great leveler. He turned a one horse race into a competition, and has dragged us down to the level of skintco.

People talk about Rangers being back but they're not, and not just because they're a new club. They only way they can compete with us next season is if the make the best of their resources and we make the worst of ours.

TV and sponsorship deals rely on a competetive SPFL and the powers that be are more interested in that than in pleasing the fans.

Don't forget the Celtic hierarchy wanted newco to be parachuted straight into the top flight. PL and DD would rather have a competetive newco than see them get skudded every week

 

Disagree with you that Youth Development is performing to the level it should. We're consistently buying young players from other Scottish clubs (GMS, Armstrong, Christie, Allan) rather than developing our own academy. Bar Tierney we've had nothing come through for years.

The scouts were being praised for finding VVD, Wanyama, Izzy, Kayak etc. They should rightly be under scrutiny for their shambolic identifying of strikers in the last 5 years. Ciftci, Scepovic, Carlton Cole, Pukki, Balde, Bangura, Brozek, Miku.

 

Didn't expect him to be gone today tbh 5 games left and would be unfair to deny him a winners medal, let's win the league say thanks for the 2 league titles and move on

Plausible, but this idea of theirs would backfire. Furious fans turn their backs on Celtic, sending the club into a financial meltdown. Before I was a fan of football (I was a toddler), one Celtic board had fallen already, crushed by the fury of the fans. I think it was in 1994.?

It wasn't the board who picked Boyata GMS and Johansen. It wasn't the board who waited until the 70th minute. It wasn't the board who waited until the 85th minute to bring on Rogic.

Ronny hasn't had the money previous managers have had, but he still has by far the biggest budget in Scottish football. He just hasn't got a scooby and the board are happy with that

A lot of Celtic fans will be creaming themselves at the thought of 4 old * firm games next season so I think a financial backlash is unlikely.
