I'd rather refs show the yellow instead of red. Keep the game going and not ruin the spectacle. This defeat has zero blame on the ref. We couldn't even score from open play ffs. Well then we finally have competition in the league. Ffs.

We probably would have if the guy hadnt pulled Griffiths when he was 3 yards from goal though.

Had the ref not been a hun we'd probably have went on to win the game from there against 10 men.

3 big decisions went for Aberdeen, the non red card at the penalty, the penalty they got and the guy that kicked at Lustig after the whistle. Most refs, had that been a European ref id say Aberdeen wouldnt have got a penalty and would have had 2 guys sent off before they even got the other guy sent off.

    Different comments entirely though.

Collins' were bound, pretty much guaranteed to come back and bite us on the *. What happens the game after...Kallum Higginbotham scores a * panenka pen in the 86th minute to get a point against us, one of the most skilful and clever things you can do:smiley-laughing002:

Griffiths however was just speaking the truth. They can't really come back and bite him on the *. The decision was clear as day. Awful.

Time to stop blaming the officials with this bias theories, Yes we showed have had many decisions to go for us especially the semi against Inverness that still does not sit well with me but they will eventually even themselves out over due course plus we should and will again be better than we are at present.

Doesn't take away from the fact 10 gubbed us. If yer expecting refs to win us games things must be worse than I thought.

Not what you expect though, you expect refs to fairly referee games. Not win games for anyone, had he fairly refereed yesterday Aberdeen would have been 1-0 and down to 10 men with 1 hour of football left - they'd almost certainly have lost from there.

Same last season against Inverness in the Cup semi.

Referees especially the 3 Bears Thomson, Madden and McLean seem to give us nothing and constant helping hands to the teams we're playing.

We can't take away the fact we never played well and we might have construed to throw the game away if the player had been sent off at the penalty anyway but what I would like to know is this; when he rightly gives the penalty what in his mind then says the player has not stopped an obvious goal scoring opportunity?? This rule appears quite simple to interpret unless you are Thompson. Griffiths was correct had it been us we would have been down to 10 and any other team would have been screaming at the ref to get the player sent off which in my humble opinion we should have done. It's not enough to say let the ref's do their job because it is blatantly obvious they are incapable of doing so and they are influenced. Had he been sent off this forum would not have been in melt down because we would probably, although no guarantee, have won the game.

Celtic fans moaning about refs when they have a 5-6x financial advantage. :smiley-laughing002:

Arguably you might have had a case when the dead club were around. Every team is on the receiving end of bad decisions. We have seen some howlers over the years. Suck it up.

The standard of referees does require improvement though.

Finance has nothing to do with it mate. If your the last man and pull down a striker in the box, blatantly denying what is obviously a clear goal scoring opportunity, then it's a penalty and red card for the offending player.

No one is using it as an excuse. We played poorly and got what we deserved from the game. But we are well within our rights to have a moan about that.

Moan away. I've seen a fair amount of conspiracy theory sh*te the past few days though which is more what I'm getting at.

Honestly, by the letter of the law if the ref thinks it's a penalty then Considine should receive a red. That said the referee does have some discretion. I'm sure I won't be able to convince you that there is any grey area but it wasn't the most blatant penalty I have seen. Considine definitely has a hand on Griffiths but Griffiths was always going down. If the ref is not 100% sure in his mind regarding the decision he may have decided not to show the red as a penalty + a man down can effectively kill the game.

And having seen Celtic receive its fair share of favourable refereeing against the Dons over the years I obviously have zero sympathy. :icon_mrgreen:

I hope you's get knocked out at the semis of a cup this season with a questionable penalty decision!:icon_mrgreen:

It wasn't the most blatant penalty you've seen? Last man pulling at a striker bearing down 5 yard's from goal?

Maybe he has it in for Griffiths, did you see him deny the most obvious advantage ever against sevco last year? Or the elbow and stamp on Guidetti that he gave the other way?

I'm not saying you haven't but refresh my recent memory of hard done by stories v us? You on about the offside McGregor goal at home to you last year?:bbpd:
