We actually did spend quite a bit...given our financial
Position generally. We can't spend every penny in the position we are in

This thread's a * joke. Same old * about how bad the Green Brigade are from the usual suspects who won't be happy until the club's completely sanitised. Utterly boring.

We didn't actually, the interim report showed that fees paid for Balde, Pukki and Boerrigter were a lot less than media reports made them out to be.
5M spent in the summer on those three players, not the 6-7.5M a lot of people though it was.

They won't be happy until this flies above CP.

So that's still a fair bit. Van Dijk and Griffiths on top of them. The summer still to come. League won and CL groups attained.

That is utter garbage. I started thread. I'm a season ticket holder for over 20 years....as for our heritage and Irish links....I'm from roslea in Fermanagh. My "views"should never be in doubt.

What does Lawwell do that is deserving of 1mil per year (and yes, it's £998,000)?

-the financial results are based on:

    1. profit taking on player sales. An aspect of the club he has zero impact on. He doesn't train or develop players himself. That's down to the scouts and the manager

    2. Champions League appearances. Again something that Celtic have been able to achieve in spite of him, not because of him and again he's never managed a game in his life so he's got sweet f all to do with it.

-season book sales are down to the lowest levels in years. I do to care what the reason is, that's part of his job and he's failing

-the rift between supporters and the board is wider than it has been in over 20 years

-there's an arrogance turned toward issues like paying employees the living wage while Lawwell makes enough to put him in the top 6 highest paid of his peers in England

-he has deliberately tried to set traps for the green brigade to fall into with the goal of eliminating them from the stadium

-he helped to write the offensive behavior at football act and now says he's opposed to it while our own supporters are held in remand

So I ask again, what has he done to deserve the highest pay by double that of his peers in Scotland? The financial statements reflect the good work Lennon and the scouts have done IN SPITE of Lawwell, not because of him

He's on less than some players who contribute nothing are on. He runs club and has helped get us onto financial footing we are now. Still...less spend wildly and run up debts.

Lawell didn't help write the act. A nonsense.

He hasnt set traps for GB either. He is CEO of a club which is top 6 in terms of size in UK.

Some twisted views out there. He's a Celtic man through and through

I don't blame people for not turning up. We should never take league titles for granted but it is a foregone conclusion now. There is nothing Celtic can do but beat what is put in front of them.

Awk here we go with this pish again. Do you want to know what is really sad ? It is sad people are in denial about the reasons no one turns up to games anymore. It is sad people can't admit they miss the old firm games as well. ''I don't like the poisonous atmosphere and the trouble it causes throughout the city'' People that say * like that then moan about the lack of atmosphere at Celtic Park. That is whats * sad.

Nonsense. Both of these points have been proven.

-He's been recorded by the secretary of the CSA last year saying he's giving the GB just enough rope to hang themselves. That's fact that can be proven with hard evidence

-Government documents which are publicly available state that the law was written with assistance from Celtic Football Club.

Spare me the Celtic man pish

I don't miss the deceased team. I would be happy if we never play their reincarnated carcass.

Thankfully they look like they are dying. Hopefully they don't make it into the SPFL.

You're having a giraffe. From an income perspective, we are a minnow. Whatever metaphysical rationale you want to use to justify this point, revenue is revenue and Lawwell is grossly overpaid comparatively
