Just finished watching it. Ok award show, not spectacular.

Really pleased for Natalie Portman, her acceptance speech was straight from the heart.

I've watched a few where it's been very entertaining for the whole night. Last night was stop start.

Funniest moment was probably Downey Jr and Jude Law making fun of Downey's past.

Glad I stayed up to watch it, I stuck £16 on Spotlight at 5/1 even though i've never seen it just didn't think the Revenant would win and that was 2nd best lol

    Good speech by Di Caprio.

main winners were Spotlight, Di Caprio and Brie Larsson

Tbh, can't remember if it was on here or not, but I did have a laugh when I heard Di Caprio win the award, whilst I do think he should have won before, I'm sorry but the acting couldn't have been great this year, as Revenant. What I mean is someone had mentioned about him just mumbling for 3/4 of the film, that's what made me laugh.

Wasn't aware of the opposition, but must have been low if he won it for this performance. Thought Hardy was far better tbh in the film, than him, even the young lad.

Or maybe it's nothing to do with black or white and the white guys happened to be better actors while the black guys music just happens to be better than the white guys? But folk like to make a big deal about nothing.

I'm glad that Spotlight and Brie Larson won. And finally DiCaprio got it so we don't have to hear all the fannies go on about him not winning one yet.

Laughable that DiCaprio ends up winning an Oscar for The Revenant IMO.

The public pressure has won him that because of not picking it up for roles he should have done in films gone past.

Winning in Oscar don't really mean the film is any good it's popularity contest. Some of best films/actors ever have not won an oscar yet some * poor films and actors have won oscars.

Can't stand Di Caprio's fanbase or the campaign to "finally" get him an Oscar. When has he ever deserved it? Not last night either. Fassbender was far better.

However, he almost had a case compared to Sam Smith winning for Best Song which has to be the worst winner I've ever seen in any category. Sam Smith seems like a totally ignorant *.

Also was delighted that Mark Rylance won supporting actor, that Brie Larson won best actress, and thought Chris Rock did an outstanding job hosting. The Jack Black joke was spectacular.

I not seen the Revenant yet..but to be fair he should have had one for the departed or Wolf of wall Street

Don't know why so many people hate him, he is our generation of nicholson / pacino and deniro. .great actor

The Revenant was ok, prefered him in The Departed and Wolf of Wall Street.

What age is he anyway about 30 odd?

Dunno why there was a big deal that he hadn't won an oscar, he'll be making films for years so he would have probably won one eventually unless his career went * up or he died.
