Uefa/Fifa are never going to ban him retrospectively for his antics. He's one of their 'darling' players. More so, now he plays at Barca. He's undoubtedly a talented player, be he ruins all that and any respect fans have for him with his playacting.

As the commentators on Fox said last night 'if you going to get sent off for kicking Neymar, make sure you do something worthwhile'.

 

I hope someone breaks his legs in his next match and he can never play again..

It's really disappointing. This guy is the best player to come out of Brazil since Ronaldinho and here he is rolling around on the ground like an idiot. He can do wondrous things with a football, he should focus on that.

Allow me to jump on my moral high horse. Growing up in Glasgow I was as football crazy as everyone else – Celtic being my one and only team. It’s because of wee shites like this I became disillusioned, hate watching people cheat in order to get someone else sent off.

They should learn some lessons from rugby – the citing process. A review by an independent panel after the matches and penalties invoked or rescinded. As soon as the wee * realises that he’s being looked at in HD from several different angles in slo-mo then he might think twice about his actions.

If he did such a thing in rugby his own coaches would have ran on to the pitch and kicked * out of him.

I have a great dislike for players that do this, why they feel the need to do this when they have so much skill is just beyond me.
It just makes a very skill full player into a right *.
In time refs all over europe will see him for the * he is.

 

There's always going to be players who do that, it's just a part of football. He's never struck me as someone who gives a * about being respected by anyone other than his own team, his bank manager and the woman who dusts his trophy cabinet at one of his houses.

He'll continue doing it, and he'll continue winning, so there's no point in getting all wound up about it.

Him diving was literally the least surprising thing to ever happen in football.
It's just in the South American culture (taken from their colonial Iberian overlords) to win in any way possible. Cheat, dive, fake, pretend, exaggerate, win. These all mean the exact same thing in Spanish and Portugese.
