Cork Clare tomorrow. Cork slight favorites having beaten the mighty Limerick twice. But so tight to call.
But I fancy Clare to just shade it, their big game players may just swing it, Hoggy has failed to turn up in the past. O'Donnell will be the difference.
Cork half forward line so strong, last chance saloon for Lohan, made a few schoolboy errors last season, looks to have learned.

First time watching this - fast, frantic and exciting.

What I will say is that there's some amount of wee guys desperate to play the hard man roll for some reason.

Always amazes me how football generates more interest than hurling. It's night and day ffs

Criminal probe into officers who celebrated Armagh win

The Police Service of Northern Ireland is conducting criminal investigations into officers who joined in celebrations of Armagh’s all-Ireland GAA win, sources have told the BBC.

Three neighbourhood officers have been informed that they are being investigated for alleged driving offences, according to the sources.

The investigations follow controversy over a social media clip showing a police vehicle being driven in Camlough, County Armagh, using lights and sirens and flying an Armagh GAA flag

Hello eire4. Good to hear from you. It's been a while. Hope all good with you. Glad you enjoyed the article. I was actually at the games he talked about as a small child. Great days.

I have been at a few club games in the Derry championship but do miss the county football and hurling. I have to admit though I am very pessimistic about next season, no manager appointed yet. Meanwhile, the tramps across the Sperrins have one in place though that was agreed back in January.

Good chatting with you Madadh Rua always. It has been a while indeed. It's been some tough times for me personally but hanging in there and chatting with good guys like yourself always helps.
Hard to know what next season will look like for anyone I think. There are no clear favourites or anybody who looks obviously powerful. Might be the most open championship for many a year. I am very interested in what and how many of the rule changes will be implemented come November. For me and I am not saying it because Dublin disappointed last season but for me the game was very stale and defensive and that has been a trend for a while now really. I think the game badly needs changes which will more favour good attacking play.

Hello eire4. Genuinely very sorry to hear that you are going through a very difficult time. Hopefully things pick up soon. I agree it's going to be a very open championship although Tyrone seem convinced that it's theirs following the appointment of O'Rourke. Hopefully, they're wrong. I have read a lot of conflicting views on the new rules. Partly for that reason, I think it was a mistake to ditch the pre-season competitions this year. The games would have given teams an opportunity to get familiar with them in a match situation before the league starts. Niall Morgan, Tyrone, was interesting to read from a goalkeeper's perspective. Not often, if ever, a Tyrone man is remotely interesting. Anyway, it will a long few months before the season starts so I'm hoping the club championship provides some interest. I think Slaughtneil will come out of Derry this year. In the meantime, look after yourself and message any time.

Madadh Rua. Thanks for the kind words and the thoughts much appreciated. I agree the championship looks wide open this year. Not sure why any of the Tyrone lads seem convinced of anything. They will be in the mix but nothing I can see about them suggests anything special. I totally agree with you that given it seems certain there will be pretty significant rule changes in place this season having the pre-season competitions would have made sense to give teams a chance to get a feel for them. In fact I would venture to say given they said no to that the rule changes may just play even more into the uncertainly and openness about this years championship. Club wise for me so far so good for Kilmacud Crokes still alive in the Dublin championship with a Quarter-Final against Ballyboden to come next weekend.
