We always get good teams in the quarters

And yeah I suppose we play O'gara enough it's like playing against a team with an extra defender :smiley-laughing002: we don't really hammer that many teams in the provincial's though I think people just look at the league scores and never pay attention to the Leinster

    Leinster Championship
    2013
    Dublin 1-22 Westmeath 0-09
    Dublin 4-16 Kildare 1-09
    Dublin 2-15 Meath 0-14

    2014
    Dublin 2-21 Laois 0-16
    Dublin 2-25 Wexford 1-12
    Dublin 3-20 Meath 1-10

    2015
    Dublin 4-25 Longford 0-10
    Dublin 5-18 Kildare 0-14

The Leinster championship is seen as a joke at least in Munster there are 2 teams.

    League division 1
    3 Ulster
    2 Munster
    2 Connacht
    1 Leinster

    League Div 2
    5 Ulster
    2 Leinster
    1 Connacht.

Ulster have only one team in the bottom 2 divisions Leinster have ten and this does not include Killkenny.

That 1st meath game nearly got me head kicked in was up in meath for a wedding and everyone was staying in the hotel and the meath team came in before the game and after it :smiley-laughing002: we where all singing COYBIB then a fella from one of the family's started calling them scumbags and got * out of the place( thankfully) after calling the hotel manger a fat * :smiley-laughing002: they where all ragging
    Though

How come you completely forgot to slag off connacht that's well more one sided and it wasn't that long ago that Tyrone where the only real serious team on Ulster cycle's come and go eventually Dublin will be knocked off the top

And here the difference between Leinster and Ulster is much much much bigger in hurling then it is in football so shut up doing me head in :smiley-laughing002:

Mayo might only have to play 2 games to win Connacht and there are really only 5 team in Connacht although the likes of London or New York might give the dubs as good a game as they are getting in Leinster.

I wont even try to defend the hurling in Ulster. In fact I have never seen a full hurling game in the flesh. The reason I say full is that I might have seen the end of one before a football game. Whatever it was it was about as relevant to me as the other Leinster semi was to the majority of Dublin supporters. Maybe that is why you drew the comparison between Ulster hurling and Leinster football.

hmm more chip on the shoulder/jealous of Dublin attitude:icon_mrgreen:

Seriously though when you look at both the football and hurling sides very few of the provincial championships are relevant anymore.
Personally I think they should do away with them and use a more champions league style format with teams seeded into groups and then say a knock out format for the Quarter-Finals and on.

The Ulster championship is the only truly competitive one in football. It is unfair when you have the likes of Tyrone and Armagh getting knocked out before teams in Connacht have even played. With 32 counties it would be so easy to run a proper all Ireland competition either CL style or knockout.

I cant really be jealous of Dublin when we taught you a football lesson last year:smiley-laughing002:

There's 34 teams mate :smiley-laughing002: it's all well and good saying Ulster is the best but at the end of the day the top 3 teams in the country don't come from there so it can't be that good( that's like saying the English Championship is the best league in the world) I think your doing the other teams from Leinster a huge disservice by saying Ulster football is in a different statosfare to Leinster Galway are a decent team to I'm sure if you compared Dublin's panel to any other team in the country where miles and miles better but that doesn't mean anything on match day when there's only 15 players on the park

If Ulster Football is ultra competitive as you say would you give all the other teams in it the same chance of winning Sam as yourselves

As all Ireland finalist would Donegal not be in the top 3

I think had we had Tyrone away this year they might well have won.

It's 33 teams but if we had a CL style championship NY could be left out.

As for how competitive Leinster is check out the poll on the GAA website. I am not alone in my views

Edit Ulster is the province that have the majority of teams operating in the top tiers in the league so the championship analogy is not really suitable to this case.

    The poll

I'm not saying it is competitive Dublin are by far and away the best team something like 10wins in 11 years it's unreal but in them 10 years we have had an extremely strong Kildare team who even made the Semi final of the All-Ireland not so long ago a good meath team ect it's only the last 3 or 4 years it has really gone * with all the other teams getting weaker and Dublin getting to probably the strongest point in are history where not going to win it forever eventually the power will shift to someone else it wasn't that long ago we couldn't beat meath for years, also never ever heard anybody at a Dublin game saying sure it's only the Leinster either

I don't think it's an advantage for Dublin. The ease in which Dublin strolled through Leinster played to our advantage in the semi last year. Cork and Kerry have it easiest one stiff test before the last 12/8.

Is it really though I don't like that excuse we can be playing the likes of Patrick thistle, Ross County ect then beat barca or Ac Milan the next game :smiley-laughing002: still though if Killkenny or Ger where playing it could of been a different story we have * all depth in the middle I'm honestly starting to think you construct every argument just to shoehorn that dark day in gaelic football every single time :smiley-laughing002:

Brilliant game there Cork let it slip though I was getting giddy with the thought of getting Kerry in the Quarters but they'll probably win the reply now

Yeah was a great second half and fair play to Cork for coming at us with everything they had, the penalty was soft but I don't think we were anywhere near our top gear today.

I just hope Tomas O'Se keeps quite and stops winding them up between now at the 18th.
