Plenty of dodgy versions flying around Turkey I think the price of 10 lira (£4) indicates what cheap * they are

Not really :smiley-laughing002: The Turkish versions could be made of plastic if they really wanted to, it doesn't reflect on the official one.

Unfortunately there'll probably be two full seasons of this fascist shirt, this heinous desecration of the hoops.Last seasons could only really have lasted for one season as it was the 125th anniversary shirt and badge design.

Only thing I don't like about it is the price. I think what's really putting people off is that the green/white ratio is a little different from usual rather than this 'broken hoops' pish. If you don't like change, spare a thought for poor Cardiff! Now they have legitimate cause to complain! :56:

thats just an excuse as we had our 88 centenary kit for 2 seasons and also our lisbon lion 40th anniversary kit for two seasons,

Ive started a facebook page to try and gather enough people to protest online to Celtic for now releasing 3 kits every season.. unfortunalty mostly so far im getting eejits calling me a hun for not blindly promising to buy every single kit Celtic release. truth is this will be the first hoops ive not owned since i was a kid in `86 and even though i dont like the design of the new kit one bit , had they had the last one out for two seasons like they normally do then i would stiill have bought it just not to break that tradition!

But enough is enough and i think we should make a stand as Celtc fans and tell the PLC that they need to calm it on releasing these kits, in this economic climate its putting unfiar pressure on parents too who feel like they have to buy it for their kids .. i dunno if im allowed to post my facebook page here if im not can a mod edit it for me to take away the link ,thanks HH

Just saying, it's how modern Football is. New kits each year, that's just part of how it goes in the 21st century.

CELTIC dont get the tv money etc that them down south etc get, so selling club merchandise (the more the better) is essential. I understand the the economic sit in EIRE cause I live here. But to buy the new top will be 60 euro and you will get at least a year out of it, so I think its ok value.

We didn't have the 40th anniversary Lisbon kit for two seasons pal.

Every big club these days releases around 3 kits a season, it's just the way it is. Merchandise is an important part of Celtic's financial structure and they try to maximize the revenue. No-one is forcing you to buy the kits so if you feel that strongly against them... you know what to do

Me too, ordered it yesterday - sponserless of course (don't want that ugly Magners logo on my chest), and love the fact that we have a kit which nods to our symbolic history of the number 7 (7 hoops, in each 'hoop') - great idea.

Look forward to wearing it on Champions League nights this coming season back at home in Glasgow, and in my local German boozer :)

agreed, plus money goes to the club we love and support. It's the same argument as player's transfer fees - always people complaining it's too much - it's similar everywhere, and Celtic need cash due to their lack of revenue from TV money. If you don't like it, don't buy it - no one will judge you for wearing an older top of the hoops, in fact the older the better (more retro!).

I personally really like it, and I am happy to support the team I love in this way, bearing in mind I can't get to many games, living and working here in Germany.

A T-shirt outa next that'll last as long as it fits for £20 is good value, if you consider £55 on a shirt that will last 1 year good value then I wish I was you lol
