    Celtic are thinking of singing a left-back before close of business tonight.

    The Parkhead club were only really expected to announce some departures today with Ange Postecoglou admitting over the weekend new arrivals were unlikely.

    But their priorities may have shifted and the possibility of getting one more in is still on.

    Lee Buchanan of Derby has been a target since the summer with the Championship club struggling financially but Wayne Rooney guaranteed fans last night no players would leave today.

    Ryan Sessegnon of Spurs too has been a consistent link for several windows.

    It does not surprise me there is an option to buy included as well. He and Shaw were both signed prior to Ange's arrival and it is pretty clear Ange is bringing in his own guys. So I would not be surprised if this one turns into a sale in the summer. Hopefully the lad does well enough to earn a move and long term deal. That would be best for him and his career and for us we would pocket a small fee on a player we signed on a free transfer.
