    He did.

And also : We have finally reached a major world competition finals. Trapattoni got us there. I don't care what you say about his tactics because they worked and we're finally there. You want him sacked because he drew a friendly ??? Have a word :56: You're making yourself look like a moron. The amount of ridiculous stuff that's said on here is amazing. I ought to make a collection :icon_mrgreen:

That's like saying Ganea never ruined the career of John Kennedy. Haaland did return but his knee was * and was never the same player. Very similar to Big John

He finished the game that he was tackled by Keane and played for Norway the Wednesday after, it was his other knee that was * later,

Fair enough, you have a point. Always thought he played a few games and finished, obviously not. I stand corrected :84:

Was McGeady good tonight? I've seen a bit of him in Russia and he seems to have improved his overall game, I can't wait to see him in the Euros, i've really missed his tricks.

Was decent at the start then faded near the end and was substituted.

Roy Keane is a hero gave his all for Ireland. He walked out on Ireland because the facilities were * and Mick accused him of faking an injury in front of the whole team. I wouldn't walk out but what Mick did was not right.. Imo he is not a failed manager he got Sunderland promoted even though they lost there first four games in the championship that season. He also kept the up twice (I think) Definitely once. With Ipswich he basically did what Paul Jewell has done now, Ipswich are *.

On the match tonight imo we were * until we went down. Andrews and * did well for the goal. We are well too defensive and surrender possession well too easy we have no midfield and we will prob get hammered against Croatia, Italy and Spain..

On Trap I want him gone after the euros I know he has done well to get us were we are but the football is * and we could play a well better team than what he is selecting. Also he is the most stubborn man ever. Also amazed at the fact he brought on Green instead of James. Green can't even get in the derby * county midfield he stands in when the right back gets in injured while James is doing well in the prem:87:
    My team would be this.

Gk Given Rb Coleman Cb Dunne and O'Shea Lb Wilson Rm McGeady Cm McCarthey and Clarke Lm McClean St Long/Doyle and Keane/Walters

Mick McCarthy was at fault for what happened at the 2002 WC, we could have gone to the semi finals if keane had played, we only lost to spain because of a missed penalty kick, and keane would have given us a huge boost and I feel ireland would have beaten south korea in the quarters

Great post, mate. Feel exactly the same.

Hope we have a chance to make a fresh start after the summer, but Trap is likely to continue as the results please the FAI more than everything else that is going on..

I wanted Trap gone before this game and wasnt happy when he got a new deal. Yes he is just about getting the job done, but any decent manager would. Have you seen the Aviva? Its embarrassingly empty most of the time. Basically Trap has us like the huns. Scraping wins/draws playing * football.
He has McGeady playing as defensive winger, which makes the EPL watching Eire fans turn on him and think he is a poor footballer because he cant showcase his abilities. He is doing the same with Robbie Keane and Keith Andrews has been ruined reputation wise due to Traps negative *.
At the end of the day I want to enjoy watching my country play, not sit wishing for it to finish like I do atm.

Trapattoni is the man who guided Ireland to the Euro's, and as such he should certainly be given everyone's full support throughout the build up to, and through the tournament itself.

Christ, it's looking like being a great summer of football and Ireland are part of that, with some really cracking games coming up.

    Just enjoy it.

Hard to enjoy it when our manager treats our best young players like * and doesnt allow our best players to play to there strengths. All week in the media he was telling us how Duffy and McClean would make there debuts. Yet he waits untill 10 minutes are left to bring on McClean and sticks the finger up to McCarthy,Duffy and Coleman by bringing on journeymen such as Hunt and Green.

He did that last year as well, promised the fans that Coleman and McCarthy would get a chance, but didnt even take them off the bench. Any player that the fans take a liking to, Trap treats them like *. Marc Wilson, S.Ireland, Clark, Lawrence, Foley, Tony Stokes have all been treated like *.Its almost like he is doing it in purpose as a * you to the fans. See if McCarthy and McClean were *, they would have at least 20 caps by now.

Heres what Eamonn Dunphy has to say about trap. And he is absolutely spot on.

    * Trap and his negative bullshit.

You may not like how he's going about the job, but when he's guiding Ireland to qualification for major tournaments it's hard to argue with him.

Let's wait & see how he does at the Euros.

    .

He didn't really get the ball very much to be fair. Ireland were simply awful. Showed some nice touches when he did get it but never got a chance to really influence the game to any great extent.

Well how bad was that. Credit to Simon * for taking his goal so brilliantly and stealing a draw for us. But lets not cod ourselves that was simply dreadful. The Czech's completely played us off the park on our own turf and us getting a 1-1 draw was daylight robbery.
The only positive (other then *'s goal) I can say about yesterdays game was in general how well the defence played. St Ledger and O'Shea in particular were excellent while O'Dea also had a very good game alongside St Ledger.
