Great play from the Czechs there! Hit it straight at Shay, though.

Come on you boys in green! :shamrock:

Such a mediocre first-half to a completely meaningless game. It's easy to criticise friendlies, but Trap really takes the biscuit. Surprised anyone showed up for the game...I imagine it's down to the team's recent success.

Why can't we try something different? This is the exact same team he'd be putting out for a competitive fixture. His focus may be on keeping standards up, and focusing on cohesion and team familiarity - they are strengths of ours - but we have so much more available to offer.

Game is crying out for something different!

Poor first half but Robbie Keane is still to this day utter class at any level of football. His touch and skill are superb to watch, glad to have seen him in the hoops even for a short while.

    * annoying how we're playing long balls constantly, when we have two talented strikers in Keane and Long up front. Both aren't poor in the air, exactly, but it's mindless to do it against a team like the Czechs.

Play the ball along the ground, please.

And we deserve to fall behind. Czechs are pressing very well and they made a mess of our defensive positioning, there. No easy task...usually.

Even Ronnie Whelan having a go at Trap, now. Calling his decision making 'baffling' and 'bemusing'.

Paul Green and Hunt on, really? With * and Walters to follow?

Really thought we'd see McCarthy and McClean tonight...oh well.

Me too, mate. Posted a poll asking whether people thought he should, on here, and most thought he should continue.

Anyone who is a regular follower obviously knows he shouldn't.

Aye I'm grateful for him helping us to the euros but a lot of people are fed up of waiting months for the next international game, hoping to see the young talent such as McCarthy, Coleman, Duffy , McClean, Wilson, Clark etc yet we constantly get the likes of Hunt, Green and O Dea. Stubborn old man.

Looks like McClean might get the last 10 minutes, at least. Too late to salvage anything, surely, but at least he gets a cap.

MON, but he wouldn't take it. So probably Roy Keane.

Doesn't have the 'tactical nouse' that Trapatonni supposedly offers, but he knows a player, he's been there, has ambition and the players would respect him.

Chris Hughton is favourite. Not sure about him taking it. Better than O'Leary, though!
