The importance of the League Cup this season.

We're amateurs up here, a Cup semi final is supposed to be a big event - one of the best in the season and we stick one on at 7.45pm on a Sunday night, * fans for drinking and making it really just a * day and awkward for travelling fans.

 

* this but tbf they had little option I think, unless they made either us or them play on Saturday. Think Murrayfield was a non starter given they (spfl/sfa) basically * them about when they said they might relocate to Murrayfield and then stayed at Hampden, which was always going to be the case anyway (wrongly).

 

Absolute * disgrace,and we get the shaft to the later in the game day,so the park will be * up after they orcs treading all over it.

Why the * did they not get sent to murrayfield?

This is the year that the authorities are gonna push the boat out even further to * us over and loose to the Stevie G choo choo train.

CELTIC's Betfred Cup semi-final against Hearts will take place at Hampden Park on Sunday 28th October with a kick-off time of 7.45pm. The other semi-final will kick-off earlier that day at 12 noon at the same ground.

The SPFL said, “The crowded fixture calendar means that this is the best and most practical solution as any alternative had the knock-on effect of causing major fixture congestion.

“We met with representatives of all four clubs earlier today and explained that this was the only feasible outcome."

The Hoops clinched their place in the last four courtesy of last night’s 1-0 win over St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park, with Leigh Griffiths netting the winner. Hearts now stand in the way of Brendan Rodgers’ team reaching their fifth successive domestic cup final.

 

Surely there was a better option than this? Even midweek or play it at Ibrox for example to rule out the home advantage argument of Celtic Park being a possibility. Just means policing on the day will be stretched right out across the entire day from start to finish whereas it could be dealt with over the course of an afternoon.

It's really * over fans of Aberdeen and Hearts, moreso Aberdeen with the early kick off. Believe me I have no time in general for either fanbase but that is a total slap in the face to travelling fans and does nothing to promote younger fans and fans in general to attend games and make a spectacle of it.

 

Will be carnage that day in the centre and Southside..

 

Not allowed to move it, contractually obliged to play semis and finals at Hampden unless the Police advise against it. Police said it was OK.

I think it is very dodgy hearts fans hate celtic and if they are getting trains they will need to get hotel rooms so will be staying in city and Aberdeen fans will need to get rooms the night before as they are early kick off too plus celtic and rangers fans don't like each other could lead to bedlam

The hampden pitch has been fine the last few years not that worried just hope we turn up, folk would moan if we were playing earlier as well since we're away the thursday before.
