I wonder why he came to that conclusion with no prompt. . .

sadly mate, it is not a myth, but if it makes people feel better that it is then i have no problem with that.

one of the truest so call myths in scottish football, can't believe some of the tc's troops have'nt heard about this,im sure the dirty presbyterian * moses mcneill(what a name)started it in 1876 ,three years after the scum were founded.

just done a quick image search on all three of the mentioned huns and they all have pics on the first page with the socks right up so not sure really.

Amoruso is the only one i can find with the red band away though it appears that he has folded it in so that it cannot be seen at all so maybe there is some reason for this but mccann and negri both have the sock right up with the red band clearly showing

this has really got nothing to do with it, wether Amoruso etc. . wore the socks in any which way. They would not have had a clue what it was all about. Remember, secrecy in their tiny minded world is paramount.

The fact remains. . .We all know hat the black socks with the red top represents. . . Lets not try and make any excuses for it, or try and find any other justification.

Look at the facts. Rangers colours are white and blue. . .The socks dont match. . .Draw the obvious conclusiouns.

Apparently the lion on the clubs crest is red, according to FFT and this
    "busts the myth".
I'll go along with you though :50:

The lion rampant on the Rangers crest coinsides with the lion rampant that depicts Scotland on the royal standard. . . The socks are about * blood !!

just check it out, united always wore black socks with a red top with a white band in the red. Lous socks never seemed to have the white band, thats all I am saying, they just seemed like Rangers socks

Lou Macari was the son of an italian immigrant to glasgow. . .The clue is in the name

Why would he want to make a statement like that. . . Get with the programme mate.

Manchester United socks have really * all to do with it. . .But its not surprising that as a Manchester United supporter you think the world is all about Manchester United.

Im surprised not more people have heard of this, heard it years ago and have no doubt its true. The red up to the knees represents being up to their knees in * blood, why is it coincidence amorouso and the likes never done it.

I heard Amorouso was flamed for not doing it aswell, whether by players, fans or the board i dont know
