Teams should be allowed to win leagues in an old firm game. Its one of the most ridiculous things I have heard in football that this is not allowed to happen.

We should be promoting games like this !

well did u see the one in 99?

thats exactly why it aint allowed

match was stopped because of people running on the pitch, coins were thrown and riots were in glasgow?

people want to throw coins , run on the pitch or riot in Glasgow then thats thier prerogative.

End of the day they are doing so much to kill the rivalry and atmosphere. It should be left alone for what it is.

Scotlans hardly an exciting league without killing the atmosphere of thier biggest asset.

Also fans should be allowed to sing what they want sectarian or not. You think Italy have such strict rules ?

I was at that game and can't remember any other game with the atmosphere like that.

I don't think that this game was the reason that night time kick offs were banned though - the game was on a Saturday was it not?

It was certainly the reason though that 3pm kick offs were banned.

I remember Riseth got sent off and the place went wild.

Was it after this game they done the huddle? I thought they done the huddle after a game when Rod Wallace scored which basically won the league for them at Parkhead?

One thing I do remember for certain was that the idiot who hit Dallas with the coin saved Dallas' career. If it wasn't for that then the focus would have been the utterly terrible decisions Dallas made that day- worse than the refeering in all the games vs Huns this season put together.

If the focus was on the decisions rather than the coin there is no way he would have reffed at the top level ever again.

Mahe was sent off for absolutely nothing that day. The hun * was also gagging to give that penalty.

    Disgrace.

Interesting at the end of that video the commentator talks about the Huns spending over £30 million after the season that stopped the ten, before the 98/99 season. That is asbsolutely mental amount of money. Explains to a large extent the mess they are in now.

No way i was speaking to 2 guys about this not too long ago. They were mates, one in the top tier and one in the bottom. The lad in the top saw him run down to celebrate and he went too far and bumped over. His mate then saw him land. Apparently he was blessed with Irish luck the way he landed right in between people and on his side. Potentially deadly landing the wrong way. A broken leg was the outcome?

I was there that day, the guy landed no more than two rows in front of me. At the time he fell everyone was standing up, so they basically cushioned his fall, otherwise, he would at the very least have been injured a lot worse.

I was right next to the aisle in row FF (if i remember right, if anyone else sits in that area, its next to the step that must be slightly bigger than the rest because someone always trips on it coming up the stairs). We had to go huddle in with everyone in the seating across the aisle when the paramedics came. I remember being to scared to look over at the guy who fell because i expected to see a dead body (I was about 12 at the time).

As he was being carried away he did raise his hands up, with his palms out flat, like he was doing push ups from his back. He was really lucky for two reasons, one obviously being that he didnt breakhis neck or die from the fall; there is also one of the stairways that lead down to the exit right next to where he fell, if he hit that it would have been game over for him. Also, he's lucky because he could have broke about three other peoples necks by landing on them.

Sorry my first post is so long winded! Hail Hail.
