I was there that day. Agree with a lot of the posts on here, the level of hatred and dislike was intense. I was only a kid really, about 11, and I actually remeber not really enjoying it not just because of the result but for a kid, the atmosphere of genuine hate, anger and desire to get at each other and start tearing in was pretty grim. It is the one and only Celtic game (and there have been many since) that I have ever left early. With about 10 to go (and before McCann's third goal) my Dad turned to me and my brother and said we should go, because outside the ground would be mayhem. Bad memory. Still when you compare it to the 6-2 game or the 5-1 game memories, or Lubo's Ibrox Party, Big Jan's last minute winner, I guess you have to experience the lows in Old Firm Football to really appreciate the highs.

Maybe he never had any change to lob at Hugh Dallas, so just lobbed himself at the ref?

The amount of injuries we had that day was unreal so many top guys were missing Lubo included. Henke and Viduka never got the service they needed. Added to that Mahe got sent off and we were never going to win once Dallas got hit gave a penalty seconds later. I remember Riseth hacked Wallace down and the place just erupted then he ran off before he got red card.

Would love to see that kind of atmosphere at an old firm nowadays was only 5 at that time so don't recall a lot of it ....all i remember is takin a hissy fit when the huns won but it would be brilliant to have that tension between the fans and then when something happens ,it all erupting in screaming and shouting and stuff getting thrown around ...and people falling off the stand :56:

    Let the people sing,
I've always wondered how the guy got his aim so good, think about it.. He's probably thrown that coin from quite a fair distance and still managed to munter him square on the temple. :56:

Here kiddo - shoosh. Let the enemy get their kicks through hating everyone, and let supporting Celtic be a joyous thing.

Maybe you had to be there in '99, I dunno.

He fell from the block I used to sit at which was north west lower (on the corner) I was block 144, I think he fell onto 143. worst game I've ever been to. you could feel the tension all morning before the game and the stadium was a cauldron of hatred. Celtic fans were arguing and fighting with each other. There was running battles at brigton and bellgrove.

Just glad they never won at parkhead this year.

The coin was also thrown from the vicinity of our corner, that mob Dallas only gave that penalty cos he got hit with the coin. he was lucky it was the only one as there was enough coins to fill a slot machine.

if ranngers had the chance to win the league at parkhead this season then i think the spl would of moved the game to another time tbh , they wouldnt allow a repeat of 99
