I'm not sure if the banner was spelled wrong. I think the photo caught the banner with a fold in it at the missing letter.

    I may be wrong though?

    Ouch.

If the banner was spelt incorrectly it's going to be a bit of an embarrassment for all concerned.

Who gives a * what the press say? We all know their agenda, they'll find a negative in anything we do. No point in even trying to appease them anymore in my opinion.

Well said jacqui67 think the green brigade give a brilliant atmosphere at the games but this has backfired bigtime. After putting the focus on the cheating, lying cover-ups or whatever at the SFA at the start of the game we have deflected it all away from them and back onto the club and the fans.

It's also worth adding that anyone who actually believes the nonsense that the rags print need to have a serious look at themselves, especially if they consider themselves Celtic fans.

Embarasssing that they cant spell correctly especially when its on display to the world,im against the poppy 100% but for * sake it makes us look like bitter huns without any education when something like that happens, would have been better off not being there at all, pointless.

have u seen a handsome hun
i still cant figure out why they did that....the club already decided not to have the poppy on the shirt.
pretty sure we dont need a history on the exploits of the british government and their defence dept.
keep to the footie please......especially if the word bloodstained is too much of a stretch.
tho....bloostained.....is that no whit ye get if ye put on a hun shirt.

the green brigade were formed on a left wing ideology and have always voiced there opinion on political issues since they were formed.. i don't see one thing wrong with that banner today..

some people say football and politics shouldn't be mixed then if that's the case stop complaining about the green brigade and go complain to john reid who emblazons the poppy on our top.. the poppy shouldn't be on our top and i agree 100% with the green brigade for voicing there opinion on the matter there today.. and for those fannys who are going on about them spelling bloodstained wrong, its a simple mistake that's easily made, they still got their message across, give over.. the green brigade are brilliant and should be applauded every game for the atmosphere they bring, without them, celtic park would be a very quiet place..

Call me paranoid, weve been accusing wach other of it alot recently.........but it would work for whoevers supporting the poppy/rememberance if we were a bunch of illiterate fools that cant even go to the bother of spelling correctly a banner. They made us look like idiots today. And discredited our noble anti poppy stance.

Very naive of you if you actually think they made the banner themselves:38:

Politics and football shouldn't mix, this just proves that as many people share the complete opposite view of the Green Brigade on this. Just because there isn't a group of people with a banner "We think the "bloostained" poppy should be worn as a mark of respect to all those who died in 2 wars that have * all to do with the politically motivated wars of today" doesn't mean that there aren't as many, if not more people in the ground who think that.

It's not as black and white as that Nick...sometimes people * up!

they might have just recieved the banner before k/o expecting all was well as what was given with the order to the banner maker.

Anyway...is it really such a big * deal?
