    I wear the old dressing gown every morning to the bathroom to go for a shower then back upstairs to get dressed after it. Will continue to do so for a while as its still * winter in Scotland.

    I'm from Glasgow, yes voter, SNP/Labour leaning although i wouldn't class myself as working class.

    Well ye order the pizza... think about the hot wummin turning up with it... pop to the bathroom so the misses doesnt catch you pulling one off... she turns up early, yer naked, so the wife doesnt get suspicious you get your robe on. Completely understandable situation to get in. Then because the wummin driver de robs you, its then called a robe.

    I have never heard a dressing gown be called a house coat before. Sounds like a term from Downton Abbey!
