    Do they really but? They are considerably weaker than in recent years with a worse manager. There are players not getting a look in for France, Germany, Spain, Italy that would literally walk into England's first 11. They are an average side at best.

    Being in the right place at the right time is a skill in itself. Guys like Van Nistelrooy and Inzaghi made their careers on being in the right place at the right time.

    For those who are in love.....
    They have had much stronger squads than this and in truth, should have won a tournament with the likes of terry, Campbell cole, Neville, Gerrard, lampard, Scholes, Beckham, shearer, Owen, mcmanaman and a host more who have escaped me..

    This side has pace and some youthfulness but not a patch on some of there more golden generations..

    That would be my feeling, too. As I mentioned in the tread yesterday, he has no obvious strengths as a footballer or an athlete. But I think that's why people seem to like him so much.

    That "squad" should all have atleast the next 3 tournaments in them. Decent squad but hardly any of the players are that good the now, most of them will need to improve a lot to win a tournament, currently only Sturridge id say is close to world class and a lot of them arent really good enough to become that good id say already Clyne, Walker, Chambers, Smalling, Jones, Bertrand, Delph, Townsend, Walcott and Welbeck I think will only ever be decent at best players.

    Everything he has hit this season just seems to have gone in. Even shots he has scuffed or that has went in. I don't actualy think he is that good a footballer.

    engerlund are *...they had their chance in 1996-1998....and * it up.

    They had great players then,but * tactics and they failed...they will never have a better chance to win a tournament.

    The main problem I believe in there failings are that they are extremely lucky with the diddy teams and the draw to qualify....they barely have a hard team...so they walk the group...but when they come up against a proper team in a proper game...you can see how * they really are.
