I would not chuck out every player who had a bad season some of them might be good players hampered by the manger / style of play.

Ultimately it will be down to the new manager. There are players in there like Lustig, who always seem to play well for their national side. Or players that seemingly became * over night, a few of these with a new manager and a bit of life injected in to them could come good again, Johanson for example.

At the same time you can't just keep every player just incase it was Deila's fault they had a * season. A decision needs to be made, we can't spend next season trying to work out if 5 or 6 players are Celtic quality or not..

Personally I think Fisher is worth keeping, he looked a decent player when Matthews and Lustig were dead with injuries.

Deserved more of a look in then he has got under RD, I think him and Janko are decent enough to fight for that spot, I'll go out on a limb and say he could be the next Tierney but at RB.

Furthermore I don't think many players really need selling, we can obviously be doing with getting a few shot probably only 5-6 players in the summer window with atleast one of them bringing in a decent sum.

Then if we can get rid of another 3-4 in the winter.

Hopefully under the right man, he's given a decent amount and can invest in 4 quality players.

These are the players I'd clear out:
Baily (not good enough to challenge for No. 1)
    Blackett (end of loan)
Izaguirre (don't think he will get his place back)
    Ambrose (BOMBSCARE!)
Fisher (Never gonna make it here, and we already have Lustig and Janko who are better options)
Mulgrew (end of contract, don't think he will stay)
Boyata (if we buy a new centre back)
Bitton (sell if we get a big money offer)
Brown (has been poor for a while now and think he is only gonna get worse with age, so I'd sell as he is too expensive to keep on bench)
Armstrong (don't think he has had a decent game at all, albeit been played out of position but still don't rate him in the middle considering there are at least 4 others that are better than him in the middle, rather we give Nesbitt a game over him)
Commons (last year in his contract and sell him now)
Mackay-Stevens (another signing who has did very little since joining, faield to impress me at all and I would sell him even at a loss)
Johansen (last year of contract and would sell if he does not sign new contract)
Forrest (end of contract, not worth keeping on)
Ciftci (the other * DU signing)
Stokes (always been a critic and don't see a future for him here)
    Cole (old and *)

This leaves us with the following 20 players in the first team:
    GK:
    Gordon
    Fasan

    DF:
    Simunovic
    Sviatchenko
    Lustig
    Tierney
    Janko
    O'Connell
    Findlay

    MF:
    Christie
    Rogic
    Allan
    Roberts
    McGregor
    Henderson
    Nesbitt
    Ajer

    FW:
    Griffiths
    Scepovic
    Kazim-Richards

Would like to sign a new goalkeeper, centre-back and central midfielder and new right sided winger and a striker. That leaves us with a squad size of 25.

    Squad for next season

    Gordon
    Bailly
    Fasan

    Lustig
Janko/Fisher (Both a cheap backup options that are okay for the league)

    Sviatchenko
    New CB
    Simunovic
Mulgrew/O'Connell/Finally (Keep one as 4th choice. Preferably Mulgrew if he signs a new deal)

    Tierney
New lb/Izzy if he want to stay

    Brown
    Bitton
    McGregor
    Henderson
Mulgrew as cover if he stays

    Roberts
    Rogic
    Christie/Allan
3 new creative players. Defiantly a natural left winger.

    Griffiths
New Striker (Capable of playing as a 2 with Griffiths and as a loan striker)
    Kazim

    Get Rid
    Boyata
Blackett (cant beilve we paid this guy for a year)
    Ambrose
Izzy (can stay if he wants as cover)
    Forrest
Johanson (only for a fee of £2mil+)
    Armstrong
    Commons
    Mackey-Stevens
    Cole
    Ciftci
    Stokes
    Scepovic

6 in, 17 out and a team easily capable of qualifying for the champions league under a decent manager. Just seems like commons sense.

After seeing that performance today this is what I would build on next season and ship out the rest

    Gordon
    Lustig simunovic Sviatchenko tiernie
    Armstrong brown
    Roberts rogic Christie
    Griffiths

    Mulgrew
    Bitton
    Henderson
    McGregor
    S Allen

Then try give as many of the youth a chance as possible
Everyone that gets their chance seems to shine at the moment.

First off Blackett will go back. I think his new role at man utd would be to check the stadium for any bombs left behind.

I'd be happy if we broke even to have all the below off the pay roll:

    Izzy
    Fisher
    Mulgrew
    Oconnell
    Commons
    Forrest
    Cole
    Kasim richards

I'd also take between 500k to million each for the below:

    Ambrose
    Janko
    GMS
    Stokes
    Allen
    Ciftci
    Scepovic

The wages saved plus to have Derk off the wage bill also would be huge. Plus a chance to pull in 5-6 million in fee's.

Add johansen as our big money sale, hopefully getting a few million for him.

That's 9 million in the kitty for the new manager.

A right back to compete with lustig for right back spot
A centre half to compete with jozo and boyata to start alongside sviatchenko.
A left back to compete with tierney and take the pressure off him.
    A centre mid, defensive minded
A left sided midfielder or winger
And a number 1 striker and griffiths up top as a pair or griffiths second choice.

    That would cost 10-12 million.

So an outlay or around 2 million but a fortune saved in wages.

Referring to the OP, I'd agree with a lot of that list.

Lustig (I still think Lustig has a lot left to offer both in performances and experience around the squad. I would hold on to him for another year or 2 - keep)

Boyata (I've seen signs of a decent player there, maybe an new manager and new style can bring out the best in him. Willing to give him a bit of time - keep if we don't get a replacement)

    Blackett (agree - out)
Izaguirre (agree - needs to leave to get 1st team football)
    Ambrose (agree - out)
Janko (I'd give him another year to prove himself - keep)
GMS (agree - out, if we can get a good price)
Johansen (still think if he can regain his form-and he's being showing signs of that recently-he'll be a big player for us - keep)

    Forrest (agree - out)
CKR (I'd be willing to hold on to him as a squad player, showed a few sign that there is a decent player there - maybe keep)

    Cole (agree - out)
    Ciftci (agree - out)
    Scepcovic (agree - out)
    Stokes (agree - out)

Also wouldn't mind getting rid of Commons or even Allan too. Commons is passed it, maybe a player/coaching role would be a good idea, to reward his services to the club.
Allan shows a good eye for a pass but I don't see him as a good enough all round player to make our 1st team MF. Reminds me a bit of Paddy McCourt in the fact that he can show some glimpses of genius but inconsistent and not a great all round player. Would loved to be proved wrong though.

I'd also like to keep Mulgrew for another year. He's looked solid in CB and is a good squad/utility player.

A lot of people seem to be forgetting that we have Ajer coming in the summer too. Hopefully he can turn out to be a great signing.

Agree with this although I'd add Armstrong to the list of outs. A great performance in the last game of the season isn't enough for me, he's had plenty chances to do that.
Also, Efe...:smiley-laughing002: we need to talk about Efe...
Seriously, I love a Efe but I do think he's almost a cast iron guarantee of, not just a * up but, a monumental * up in any given game, especially big games. I say promote a good youth CB into his back up place instead. Surely one of our better youths is a better option at this point. :smiley-laughing002:

Think I may have already done this at a point, but anyway:-

Bailly - I'd go with Fasan as no.2 and promote a young guy.

Blackett - Loan deal, so will be returning, thankfully.

Izaguirre - I'd rather we hold on to him, but he wants to play and I wish him all the best.

Ambrose - I like him, but way too many mistakes. Too late to coach it out him too, would've like to have seen him in midfield, but time to go.

Boyata - If someone wanted to give us a bit of money then I'd let him go, but he's young and still not sure if we maybe a bit hasty. He can be coached to cut out the mistakes.

Mulgrew - If he is as rumoured to be one of those influences in the dressing room, then get rid, I would keep him, but if there are truth to the rumours then get rid at all costs.

Bitton - If there is a big money move then I'd let him go, sometimes he slows the game down too much, although maybe benefit with a more dynamic player next to him. I would like to see him go, but any big fee would could attract then I'd seriously consider.

Brown - Hopefully we'll see 3 Scott Brown's leave their teams this week (after St Johnstone and Aberdeen released theres). Don't rate and also a rumoured influence. Might even pick up a half decent fee if any silly English teams fancy him.

Commons - Would like to see him stay, but another rumoured influence then I'd ship out too.

Johansen - If we had Stef from those few months in his POTY season or even that of what we saw at the weekend then yeah, I'd consider keeping him, but doubt it so would take a fee for him.

McGregor - I think he's still highly regarded down south, so if we could get a respectable fee for him I'd let him go. I wouldn't cry if he stayed, but just think we have better options, certainly don't like him in the more deeper role as he loses the ball at silly places at times.

Forrest - Would sell him first opportunity we get.

GMS - Whilst I like him, not sure if he has the balls for the job, maybe a new manager can get that entertaining player back, but not sure. Maybe if he could it would slightly lessen the blow of losing Roberts, who is leaving anyway come next year, so maybe best to keep our options open.

CKR - I'd let him go, I don't see how he fits into our team, doesn't score enough goals and after seeing the likes of the guys performing at the weekend they offer more than he will.

Cole - Pointless signing, who hasn't been played.

Fisher - I'd let him go, I'd stick with Janko (possibly) and Lustig.

Ciftci - If a decent fee come in for him, then let go, just not sure if we're being too hasty, I still think he can offer something up front and can score in Scotland.

Scepovic - Would let him go with minimal fuss.

Stokes - Let him go, maybe an English team might fancy him.
