no mate not at all a just think you have been blinded by his impact as a sub against weak opposition compared to his 90 min games against stronger teams where it is like playing with a man down

Celtic don't need McCourt and he'd be better off getting his 20 minute cameo appearances somewhere else because he's not getting them here.
People wouldn't * over him so much if he wasn't a '*' or 'looked like one of the 10 brave men'.

the point is, McCourt hasn't been doing what Samaras has been doing. i've never really rated Samaras due to his inconsistency problems but it's hard to argue against his stake in the starting XI atm. currently, McCourt barely has a stake in bench.

wow. just wow. you say you're not wearing McCourt tinted specs then you call him world class? you're joking, right? if he was world class, he could pick any club in the world to play for. he can't. he isn't. he is no where near 'world class'.

eh? Hooper bangs them in, i wouldn't describe him as a 'flair player'. we don't need flair players. we need good players.

a street juggler has plenty of flair. then the question is why is he plying his trade on Sauchiehall and not at Clyde?

    There it is.

Can you please not be so disrespectful to guys who gave their lives for what they believed in thanks? They deserve better than that.

I never said he was 'world class', I said he had it in his locker to be that.

Are you saying he isn't talented enough to be world class if he applied himself?

He has never got the chance to play consistently. I genuinely cant remember Paddy getting 5 games on the trot.

I can. That was at this time last season. He was class I thought. We were a struggling team back then, but he kept the team on track. Scored the only goal in a 1-0 win at home against Motherwell, started behind a lone Samaras in the Rangers game we won 0-2. He was brilliant. Almost brought us ahead I can remember.

Pretty sure he only played 3 full games at that stage though? Could be wrong though.

I've watched him with my own eyes, on many occasions mate. All he can do is run and dribble. Sometimes those runs get into the box and produce goals, sometimes he gets dispossesed and looks like an idiot.

As I said, he's not as good as anybody else in the team atm, or even the second best choices, so therefore he shouldn't be playing. I agree it's a bit harsh for Lenny to keep having him on the bench and never bringing him on though.

Ah well, maybe he didnt play five. But surely he played 3 or 4 FULL games. He showed back then that he cannot only be an impact player.

So at first you said all he can do is run... Then you said all he can do is run and dribble...

Now you're saying sometimes those runs and dribbles result in scored goals and produce goals...?

Make up your mind ffs! :56:

    Im talking about full games.

I just looked it up there. He started 9 games all last season. He isnt really getting a chance to prove his worth imo.

the first bit, * are you talking about? his flaws are overlooked due to his cult status. others have been hounded out of Parkhead for a lot less. it has to be because of what he represents that he has established this image.

speaking as a proud Scot with Irish blood, stop getting offended over nothing.

of course he doesn't or ever had the talent to become world class. he would of been at a far bigger club than Celtic if he ever had it in him. in any case, you're saying it's a lack of work on his part that he didn't become world class?

that's McCourt's game right there. i'd like to see the stats he has for tackling and giving away possession.

    Exactly.

However there is obviously something fundamentally wrong with his character or fitness because with his talent he should be starting every week. Obviously the people on the training ground are seeing something that we aren't seeing.

He did last season before Commons came, he was doing really well.

This season not so much but I think some of the criticism of him is ott. It is hard to make an impact when you are not regularly getting games. Despite this Paddy does well 9 times out of 10 when he comes of the bench. He won us points on our on last season. People are too quick in forgetting this. Can anyone name 5 games he played really bad in?

You never even said that so I don't know why you are getting involved.

Don't bother mate, your fighting a losing battle. He seems to overlook all of his talents because he's from Derry.
