Yeah, Tyson managed to put away such opponents as Mitch Green, Marvis Frazier and an over the hill Larry Holmes. Top class talent and no mistake.

He went the distance with guys like Razor Ruddock & Tony Tucker for * sake.

As for his prime, it can be argued that once he lost to Buster Douglas he was on the slide, and he was only 24 when that happened, and he was definately on the way out when he lost back to back fights with Holyfield. He was thirty years old by then.

His only real fights came against Holyfield and Lewis. Two guys that he'd been accused of ducking for years before he fought them, and I have no reason to believe that a bout with either Klitschko in their primes as well wouldn't have ended with Tyson slowing towards the middle/end of the fight and either being stopped late or losing heavily on points.

In his prime Tyson faced no one with the physical attributes that both Klitschko brothers have, and none of his opponents even come close to being as technically gifted as them or as savvy in how to use their strengths to their advantage.

The only one who comes close was Lennox Lewis, who was actually a year older than Tyson when they fought. Lewis dealt with Tyson easily, and either Klitschko would have done the same.

You may not like them, and they may not be uber exciting, but you can't deny their ability.

No chance Burns was getting beat there. Points wins are his speciality :50: Well in Bhoy !

    Bang on!

Missed most of the fight but it's true. He's not a knockout specialist, he's a classy operator.

    Well in Ricky bhoy :celt_2:

Good win for Burns, he was always in control. Great atmosphere there in Braehead. Hope he fights there again soon.
