This is spot on. Regardless of views on individuals, our whole governance structure is massively out of date and inefficient. For a company our size of be mostly run by people who have been in their position for 15-25 years (and yet don't actually own the company) is ridiculous. The whole structure needs overhauled, it isnt just a case of getting rid of Lawwell or Desmond or any other individual.

So looks like we'll be in for another summer of zero planning in recruitment.

We should have appointmented a new Head of Recruitment by now, I want a DoF or Sporting Director but that probably won't happen..

Any top club would have a recruitment plan in place by now as we approach May, we don't even have someone in charge of scouting and recruitment..

We're a shambles and the summer will likely be an another unstructured mess without proper process. Throwing limited cash at projects hoping to get lucky.

    Depressing.

There absolutely is a recruitment plan:
    1. Hope Rodgers wins the league so he can stay
    2. Leave all the recruitment decisions up to Rodgers
    3. Leave all the spending decisions up to the Board
    4. Sell as many players as possible and add it to the pile
    5. Count the cash from season book returns and add it to the pile
    6. Make cheap jokes about the Huns to deflect attention from not having had a recruitment plan

We wouldn't be in a title race if this * bunch of unambitious * were doing there job properly and had proper recruitment in place and spent the money of experienced quality players.
Even though if we win the league with the £60 million added to the £67 million in the bank these people never going to change and we will get the usual £2 million signings and I wish everyone of them would get to * out the club.

At the next AGM ALL Celtic supporters should have online access to it with the vote from every Celtic shareholder allowed a vote not just shareholders allowed to vote at the moment for the board AFTER the AGM.
Sick to back teeth that a lot of the Celtic supporters can’t vote.

We're definitely getting a new CMF (in the know) fast, tall, pacey and strong. Chips in occasionally with a goal and assist. And very cheap.

Bosun Lawal. Nothing like the DF Bosun Lawal we have. Nah, this guy is def a CMF, plays down south. :67:

We as fans don't have a voice, it's been frustrating and is unacceptable.

However, the AGM will never be for anyone other than shareholders, the best fan shareholders can do is proxy their vote to the Celtic Trust. Even then fan shareholder influence is minimal.

You couldn't open the AGM up to everyone it just wouldn't work. It would be chaos with anyone free to join including Huns. Even if season ticket holders were included it would still be unworkable.

The best we could do is try organise ourselves, Celtic Trust, Season Ticket Holders, CSCs and Ultras. Meet and try and make the board meet with the support as a collective, with an agenda agreed to put our points across in a structured and professional manner. Easier said than done though, I guess.

The best we could do is organise to have some kind of survey done across supporters groups etc and have it formally presented and a motion put forward/seconded by shareholders at an AGM that it be formally accepted for consideration and accountability at the next AGM.

If done properly it could allow movement on the "bigger picture", but it would probably never work as it's too easily walked around, to obfuscate and deny the credibility of the results in certain matters.

100% this... They'd rather we are 110% as good as the Huns and they occasionally win than that we're way ahead of them and they exceptionally win. And they're not sure why we are fussed about the difference between the two options... Minimum outlay and risk for optimal business returns. For fans we see minimum effort for highest risk of failure...

Said it at the time that lawwell jnr and his pal Joe got paid to sit on their * by daddy, we aren't changing for the good, it's lipservice to keep the fans noise in check.

Two * poor windows (more than two) and the noise on recruitment team being under fire was very loud. So lawwell and Desmond do what they often do, a quick and easy and lazy option to keep fans quiet, then sulk back in to the background doing * all.

How you sack your head of recruitment, because they're * *, and not replace them by now is a mystery to most clubs, but not ours.

Isn't the TV deal up soon? The average viewer outside of Scotland and Ireland couldn't care less if Celtic are 10 points ahead by march.. but a close title race drags in the average football fan. Also brings the armchair fans out of the wood work too. The board sees the risk/reward for actual durable cl success as way to risky. Exposure to big fees and more so big contracts. Sky are desperate to make it a race for the title..

Imagine we had given mark lawwell 50mill to spend!!! We and they will have gotten away with one big time if we manage to get over the line in the league.. whatever about last year if we don't strengthen in the summer off the back of the cl money I think things could get very toxic very quickly. No one can take anyone meandering, dead window in which we pick up absolute crap the the manager doesn't even want
