    Outrageous.

I’d imagine they must have a thorough understanding of the nuances of modern football.

Progressive clubs around Europe have up and coming, ambitious, career driven people fronting up their footballing operations.

We’ve got some upper class relics, effectively cashing their pension.

I was wondering if they were pulling a fast one with that £23 mil figure and including the wages, for the next few years, of the players that signed new deals.

Most companies will look to change CEO,/chairmen etc every 5-8 years.

We just keep the same folk for 20+ years.

Reasons why companies will change up head positions (and various other key positions at board level)? To make sure they don't go stale, they don't sleep at the wheel and they don't get best by their competitions.

So, again, 20+ years we've had the same folk running out club - it's no surprise then, they are stale, old, cold and out of date now.

A waste of a wage. I thought Congerton was bad but this useless * surpasses him. Him and his sidekick Joe Dudgeon have been placed on gardening leave until the end of the season. Hopefully Lawwell snr will be next to go.

Dinamo Zagreb just saw their corrupt board forced out by a club legend with fan backing. The auld fart couldn't keep enough of the men at the general meeting on his side. We can do the same. Get Stubbs, McStay or someone to lead the charge.

Congerton is by far the worst, by far, just being viewed as poor and done * and a bit of a joke from most fans is him getting off lightly.

He was disastrous. Damage he done was * monumental, BR’s shout for him apparently because he had carte blanche to pick his guys via Desmond. And that was a mistake, because you just need to look at the state he left Sunderland in to see making him the man in charge to shape your transfer business is a terrible idea.

By all accounts, he’s good when he’s not that main guy driving decision making and the full strategy. Which is why he gets the moves that he has, but it’s telling when Rodgers got him at Leicester he made sure he wasn’t in charge. Two times he had that responsibility and he absolutely * both of them, Sunderland in a decade or so since have just recovered. I thought we had miracles happen and recovered, but we just had Ange.

The noises coming out in the club of our recruitment department just now, before they two left, having more managers of recruitment than scouts. And relying on agents we’ve dealt with and club contacts, and that’s something that makes sense looking at our business. It’s * ridiculous. We had an extensive, well oiled machine under Park. And ripped it to shreds, after a decade of building it

What on earth are you talking about?

You seem to be working under the assumption that Desmond is some benevolent man in the clouds, just chilling out, ready to swoop in if the club ever finds itself in trouble.

    Utter delusion.

Who the * do you think dictates our transfer policy? Lawell?
If that were the case he would've been sacked after Ronnys first season.
Who do you think dictates the hiring and firing of board members and club employees? You think the board take votes on *? Or that Lawell acts with Carte Blanche?
You think for one nano second that Lawell didn't have to get the nod over the phone, before he minced his way into the showers to offer Lennon a SECOND bite of the apple.
Who you think tried to hire Roy Keane before Ronny?
Do you think Lawell went to Spain to "persuade" turkey teeth to return of his own initiative?

You think our wage structure, which hasn't moved an inch since the early 2000's, is in place because the BoD are pocketing the change, or Lawell just actually WANTS a merry-go-round of substandard players making him look incompetent?

Lawell and every board member at this football club exist because Dermot Desmond wants it so.
It was Desmond who put Lawell on sabbatical, and snuck him in the back door.
You think greedy board members hungry for more influence and power would want Lawell back with his fist up their holes?

Peter Lawell, and the BoD are extremely good at what they do. Ie. Keeping the share price high and club in the black and the customers in the dark.
They run the club this way because they are INSTRUCTED TO DO SO.
But that's how you run a * coffee shop chain. Not a football club.

Desmond is DIRECTLY responsible for the stagnation that has seen this club tumble down the European respectability charts whilst simultaneously struggling to hold off an 11 year old club who don't have 2 pennies to rub together.

    He's a * cancer.

As for your "mike Ashley" warning. How many takeovers in European football ACTUALLY go * up a la Sevco?
Firstly we're not * sevconite mutants. We aren't gonna clap like seals and scream for every yahoo that claims he's gonna put Sevco in their place.
You see Mike Ashley. I see the Bunnet.

They do more or less nothing right.

It’s quite remarkable that out of every single aspect of running a club and every tiny nuance possible, we have in my opinion a very good manager, some would disagree, and a spectacular walkway in to the stadium.

Everything else from our recruitment policies, to depth and quality of squad, to youth development, to fan engagement, to the state of our pitch, to the service in the ticket office is *.

    Nothing they do surprises me.

Well that's easily the biggest source of sporting revenue now much harder to realise with Scotland losing automatic UCL group stage from 25/26.

The board (worryingly) did plan for this - but as I think we all know, they themselves have continually under invested on the pitch and so created a situation where we potentially lose £30M.

Well done Peter and his fellow blazers, another tick in the arrogance/laziness/negligence box.
    Asleep at wheel, yet again.
