Anyone notice just how comfortable he was taking the ball into feet when there was about 4 players round him? Or on the wing when there was players pressurising him?

That's what I like to see.

His first touch and ball control look superb but I wouldn't expect any less from a guy that's been on the fringes of the Dutch team.

He looked good yesterday, but wouldn't mind seeing him for 90 minutes.

Theoretically I can see Sammy on the left and Derk on the right as the stuff of full-back nightmare.

Derk has to play on the left, he is far better there.

His touch and technique on the ball looks way to good for the SPL. I think he could play well behind the striker and well as on both wings.

Really looking forward to him getting a run of games, first impressions are that we got an absolute bargain.

I dont think we should start him for another week or two. Let him get back to full fitness before letting him start and goosing himself again, same with Van Dijk.

Nothing more annoying/frustrating, than new guys coming in, being thrown in when not full fit then constantly getting injured. Better to let them settle in a couple of weeks and get fit and then using them on the back of injuries when they havent trained much and them picking up other niggles.
