"Celtic’s Dutch connection is still evident today with the Netherlands represented at the club by Derk Boerrigter and Virgil van Dijk, both of whom will be included in the squad to face Den Bosch next week."

I imagine he's on his way out but if we can find a way to keep him fit he's still a good player

    I can't believe he's been here for 2 years.

I think you're right, though, VikingBhoy. If we could get him fit he could be a dangerous player for us.

FM has him at 25k a week (brilliant source).

I don't credit FM as being a great source. There's zero chance we made him our joint highest earner.

However much it is, it's far too much.

If he's not good enough for Ajax - a team we should be aspiring to be at least on a par with - why would he be good enough for Celtic?

    Likewise Pukki with Schalke.

Pukki didn't play at Schalke because he was behind Klaas Jan Huntelaar in the pecking order - one of the best forwards in the world.

Should Atlético Madrid not pursue Chicarito because he wasn't good enough for Manchester United or Real Madrid and they aspire to be at their level? No. That'd be illogical.

Pukki and Boerrigter were good signings on paper.

he is the ideal players for the left of that supporting 3 behind the striker if you can get him fit has everything ronny wants pace, height, strength, good finisher (apparently).

Also i head he was on £18k/week basic in reply to someone else

I wonder if he ever could be successful here. He probably resents the club because he hasn't played in two years. Maybe this preseason'll be a fresh start for him but I doubt it.

The only reason pukki signed for schalke was because he scored 3 against them for helsinki was it not?

    18k x 52 = 936k.

    I think.

He can resent all he wants. He's been paid well while being injured for probably about 50+% of his time here.

I'm not a fan of players who sulk of theyre not playing. If you train well and do things right you'll play as can be seen with griffiths.

It is a bit of Shame with derk coz I thought he'd be some player

I often completely forget about this guy. I was very excited when he signed for us. Time to move on though. Get him off the wage bill this summer.

Ronny was playing him until he got injured again, I wouldn't be surprised if Ronny still sees him as having a part to play.

It's a screenshot from a video from Celtics YouTube. I randomlypaused it to go and get something then came back and found it hilarious so took a photo of it.
