Been a decent first half. Think Zenit deserve the lead as they were good in the first 30 minutes, then Spartak came back into it. Was a good goal by the striker, terrible defending though, Spartak look weak at centre-back, Spartak players were giving the ball away too easy in the first half hour and could have been 2-0 down or even 3-0.

Emenike looks some player and Carioca has played well in the middle.

 

2-0 good finish again but terrible defending again.

Yes despite the score Spartak fans were singing "Krasno Belye..." and they were oversinging locals
Somedays are just not yours Team was overcharged before the game..... And it will be useful for some players that superb game in three games does not always guarantee you a fourth win...

And the song was Bahama, Bahama mama and I don't want to translate the ending but it's about spoiling shirokov roman or moscow dinamo....

 

Reasons for such awful defeat as I think were weak psychology (young team, new coach) and at the same time team was overcharged.

Then probably one of the major things is that left defender playing also as winger D. Kombarov is injured (he is really strong) and right defenders Parshivluk plus K. Kombarov are injured too. So what actually happened Makeev was playing as right defender (he is usually left defender and he is weaker than D. Kombarov or Parshivluk) and Gatagov was playing as right defender (first serious game for him as he is usually playing either in youth team or as substitute).
That experimental defence actually played really weakly, center defenders were trying to help left and right defenders which lead to terrible defence in the center of defence, plus center midfield was left without usual support from wingers.

And finally an awful penalty by Bilyaletdinov actually killed the game. Currently it is usual tactics by zenit trying to play out of skin first 30 minutes putting high pressure on team and trying to score as much as possible and then playing on counter attacks because zenit is physically weak team.

 

Aiden was disqualified for three matches for red card in match with zenit.

Lately there are rumours that there will be a new strong player in Spartak midfield and in case of his purchase other key player will be leaving. It might be the case of McGeady. Transfer window in Russia will be closing soon.

PS: As far as I understand Sunderland recently bought a player on McGeady's position, please correct if I am wrong.
