I'm really happy wee Jimmy is winning because he deserves it.

He played a big part in our revival and for a while on here was romping a poll for player of the year.

He deserves a lot of recognition for his efforts as does Tony Stokes and Vic as well.

Well chuffed that most people remember his contribution.

Forrest by a mile, most on here thought he was our senior player of the year at the halfway point. He hasn't been as consistent in the second half of the season but has still played well imo. The only other legitimate contender in my eyes is Matthews who has been a revelation at right back. Wanyama is to inconsistent at this stage of his career and Rogne hasn't played enough games, Ki shouldn't even be an option because he is three years older than the other playets and the same age as Stokes and Kayal who were both better than him this year.

Went for Wanyama, always gave 100% throughout the season even during our * period when many other players looked absent and uninterested.

Also acquitted himself well in the europa league against some quality opposition. Soooo happy we signed him :celt_2:

For me it's between big Vic and JF, very difficult to choose between them.

Forrest (along with Stokes) was the driving force behind our comeback against Killie in October

I completely agree with you mate but big Vic came on at half time in killie that day after Kayal looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there that day and was a monster in DM.

    Still Jimmy for me though.

Wanyama, Matthews & Rogne can all be very proud of what they have contributed this season too.

Thomas Rogne, he has been solid and very composed on the ball.

Was it Forrest who won this award last year? Not the TC one that actual Celtic one.

Has to be Forrest.Every young player, especially the flair players, are entitled to go off the boil over the course of the season........but he did more than enough earlier in the season to see off the others in my opinion.

Forrest for me too, as he has the hardest job out of the younger players being a forward player. Also dragged us through a few tricky games in the early part of the Winning Run. He burnt himself out too but played a lot more games than the other young players.

Cant wait to see him next season when he'll likely have moved up another gear.

Probably a toss-up between Wanyama, Forrest and Matthews for me - can't really decide. Forrest hasn't been as consistent as the other 2 but has produced more great moments of skill, vision etc - I don't think he has been the same player since Healy basically assaulted him. Wanyama - it can't be underestimated his role in reviving our fortunes - the stability and composure he gave us when we were in dire straits was a massive factor in our turnaround. Matthews has been composed, consistently solid and a good option going forward. Like a young, right-footed version of Izzy.

Who the * voted rogne? :56:

I went for Matthews since he have played loads of games and have been very consistant (Spelling?). Close second for me is Forrest who have been superb but not as consistant as Matthews

It's a toss up between Vic & Forrest IMO. I'd go for Vic personally but reckon Forrest will get it.

Forrest without any shadow of doubt. Back when we weren't doing well he was the one dragging us through games.

Fair point, I wasn't referring to stokes, himself or mulgrew would be my pick for senior player. Forrest was excellent in that game but our * period consisted of more than 45 minutes against killie, wanyama always looked 100% committed during that period, forrest started playing well when the team as a whole started playing well whereas wanyama and stokes played well regardless of the situation.
